Useful features, but doesn't always get the job done (Haier DW12PFE1)

Regular family sized dishwasher with little to recommend it. It's styling is fairly ordinary and robust. It is easy enough to use with diagrams and a series of lights to mark the programs.

It has an adequate range of 5 programes to choose from: Intensive Wash for heavy pots and pans, Normal and Light Washes, Glassware, Rapid Wash. It also has a Soak feature if you don't want to wash straight away, but don't want food to dry on the items. These programmes can be modified to delay start by a set amount of hours. Each programme can also be modified to speed wash. Very large cutlery basket that can be divided in two. These are very useful features.

Although it is large enough to take 12 full place settings, the dishwasher cannot be filled to capacity as this impedes the rinsing process. This may be a result of the upper arm not being able to rotate completely freely. The cups need to be stacked on the upper level in such a way that they do not touch. When the lower level is filled, the upper level may not clean properly. Items frequently need to be rewashed.

Having used the dishwasher for a few weeks, I have found that the only way to get a really good efficient wash is to use more rinse agent than specified and use a higher wash cycle than the contents would normally require. This means that the dishwasher is not as efficeint or as economical as it should be. It runs quietly.

I would not give up my dishwasher, but I would probably not choose this model again.
