Hotpoint-Ariston FDM550P ... never had a dishwasher I moved into a fully furnished rented house just a few weeks ago and was unsure about using the dishwasher at first. Though three students in a house creates a lot of washing up and it did not take long to give in and use the Hotpoint-Ariston FDM550P that was provided. With an Energy efficiency rating of A it does not use as much electricity as older models and can reduce the guilt for those concerned about the environment! With a fast cycle of only 35 minutes the dishwasher is hardly on long enough to really use much electricity and if left for 20 minutes after the cycle has finished the load is dry enough to be put away immediately. Hotpoint FDW60 ... think this dishwasher is fantastic, i paid just under 200 for it when it was in the sale and think it is ont of the best things i have ever bought. there is only two of us in the house and it takes a few teas to fill it up so only switch it on every other day if that. I really do rate this product, it looks nice, its quiet and it quick. I must admit i only ever wash the dishes on the 40 degree quick and it gets everything clean first time, i cannot think of any downsides, oh a couple of times i have overfilled the machine and the spinning washing thing hasnt bee able to spin, but thats my fault. Hotpoint FDW60 ... is a great dishwasher if you like frequent visits from the service man! I have owned mine for approximately 4 years. I choose it because my mother in law had a Hotpoint dishwasher which was circ 15 years old & still going strong. I also liked the streamline appearance, fairly plain front with not too much space given over to operating buttons & controls. As a dishwasher it functions very well on the long hot programme, but not so well if you are after economic or shorter washing cycles, tending to leave some items not cleaned.
