... dishwasher is not the best avaiable on the market but is decent quality for the price. A decent value product which has lasted me for a decent amount of time. Hotpoint FDW60 ... are used. Drying is below average and usually incomplete. It is too easy to bump up against the buttons and accidentally change what the machine is doing. Sometimes it gets confused and refuses to enter any programme - you have to give it a couple of minutes to compose itself so that it will then accept a programme! The drain pump on our machine failed after just 3 and a half years. We chose Hotpoint because our previous Hotpoint machine was a marvel - solid and completely dependable throughout 17 years of hard use. Hotpoint FDW60 ... have had this dishwasher now for about 6 months. Delivery was very swift and the Hotpoint man arrived when he said he would (always a major bonus). He was friendly and helpful and plumbed the machine in for me and took all the rubbish away with him! The machine works really well and is nice and quiet too. Actually it is so quiet that when we first had it my partner and I were not sure if it was actually on and we both stood (comedty fashion) bent over with our ears near the machine! The machine has lots of different settings including normal, pre-wash (very useful for very dirty dishes) and intensive. It also (very importantly) has an ECO wash which uses less elec... Hotpoint BFI620 ... we installed a new kitchen, the supplier said they would throw in an integrated dishwasher for only £50. Our choices were a Diplomat or a Hotpoint. Never having heard of Diplomat, I went for the latter. In retrospect, this was a mistake, as I should have taken my £50 and made a down-payment on something reliable, like a Bosch, Miele or Siemens. At first, the dishwasher was fine. It is a basic machine with very few programmes and controls. It was easy to use, easy to load, the salt and rinse aid dispensers were easy to fill.
