Advantages: Cheap to buy, simple to use

Disadvantages: Probably not very well built but ok for the money

I have had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks now so can't talk abuot long term reliability but will review what i know about the dishwasher so far.

I bought mine from John Lewis for £189. The dishwasher is slimline and takes 9 place settings. This is fine for plates that stack easily etc, however other crockery I have put in does not seem to stack very well with the dishwasher's basket layout and 2 bowls i have seem to take up a huge amount of space and have to go on the top rack with cups as they don't fit between the spacers on the bottom rack where they are supposed to go.

The dishwasher looks neat and tidy and not particularly flash but looks smart enough in any kitchen. It has very basic functions on the front which to be honest is what you expect with a budget model and all I wanted it for really.

There are 4 programmes including - time for you (which actually takes a long time!), an eco programme which uses less energy but equally takes i think about an hour and a half or more and the rapid and dry function which is so far what i have used every time. This programme takes only 40 minutes and doesn't mess about with cold rinses, it washes at a low temperature but then rinses with hot water at 60 degrees and the plates and other items have come out sparkling clean every single time.
The manual states that this programme should only be used for items that have gone in the washer recently (ie no dried on stuff) however as there is only me in my flat i have been using this programme with plates in from the day before and have no problems what so ever and it definately comes out cleaner than washing up by hand.

So far so good for a budget model. The only other thing i dislike apart from the fact my bowls don't fit into it very easily is the drawers do not slide out very easily at all and do not feel as if they are very well made.

Sorry i did'nt even think about commenting on installation! I got a plumber to do it as i had a washing machine to plumb in too and didn't have the pipes already there - so i'm not sure is my honest answer! I would imagine quite straight forward if you had the correct pipes already there. Manual is quite comprehensive.

Hi and welcome back from another dooyoo returner! Did you have the dishwasher profesionally installed? Was the installation complicated, simple or buyer-atemptable?

Not exactly budget? The cheapest one i could find on the net was £160 when i looked and I paid only approx £30 more. Considering dishwashers can cost up to about £500 or more i would consider this to be a budget model. Also if you had read the review properly you would see that i had mentioned the quick wash option - it is called rapid and dry and as i said in the review it only takes 40 minutes! (i.e quick!)
