Advantages: simple to use, not too many buttons
Disadvantages: wash performance can be sensitive to cleaning the filters / adding salt etc
For this price bracket, this dishwasher represents good value for money.
Problems found after VERYextended usage (in a VERY hard water area) is the spraybar sometimes becomes clogged with debris (as any machine can), plus the cutlery tray suffers some degradation with some of the plastic breaking off -- which can allow cutlery to drop through and can impede the lower spray bar) . However in fairness, some of this could be because over time, sharp knives placed blade down can cut up the floor of the cutlery tray - I am just saying what's happened to my machine (not a scientific test, but a typical user experience)
To get best performance it is necessary to do a good clean of the filters every few weeks (similar to other makes) , plus ideally use a dishwasher cleaner cycle to remove all limescale. Reliability to date has been excellent, but if the dishes are very dirty, combined with a lack of filter cleaning, residues can become evident after the drying cycle. A little bit noisier than some of the top brands - but then a lot cheaper too.
Overall for under 200 quid, it does what it says on the tin and is a good buy vs some of the machines far more expensive. Generally only use 1 setting for "everything" for day 2 day items - and without too many twiddly bits and extra buttons - there seems less to go wrong than some of the more complex machinery on the market. Happy with mine.
Summary: For this price it is a good value machine

- 16/05/08 Nar, thanks for the feedback. The theory is based on the generally accepted rationale that value = function/cost. therefore the perceived value of a product improves if its function increases or its cost reduces. In this case, when comparing to say a bosch that friends use for £350, my DW has maybe a 95% percieved function (as this is subjective) , but at a 40% reduced price.
As it has not broken down at all, I percieve it to be a good value product as its has given good function for less cost over 1000 cycles. My point about the tray was that was the ONLY area that had suffered some element of degradation - you cannot correlate in any way the degradation of one component and presume others will fail...if I could I would be paid millions by automotive companies to predict their future warranty!!
How ever I value your feedback and will look to add some further detail to the review. |

- 16/05/08 Welcome to Dooyoo. A good start here but unless you can back up your theory to suggest that this dishwasher is better than machines which are more expensive, best not to bother quoting unless you share your experience. Most dishwashers are generally now all triple A rated including this dishwasher which you haven't added info about.
General ly if a dishwasher needs more frequent cleaning on its filters and has poor plastic quality then for the price how can it be good value? What will break off next I wonder?
A good start here but it needs a bit more info - particularly when your review may appeal to future buyers.
If you update your review or need help msg me. |
