My parents own a dishwasher, this type, it is extremely useful. because we were use to wash the plates with our own hands, so it's a plus side that we got a dishwasher for quite some time now. it has allot of space in the rack, you can set the dishes in the upper cabinet, and the glasses at the right side, and the services in the down stock. you got different programs to wash, you can use the quick method that will last approximate 15 minutes, but if you got all the stocks full then, most things will be clean and fresh, but not all, so the best thing to do is use the longest program will last around 30-45 minutes or up to a hour, depends on the program you choose, and then everything will be smooth and clean, and ready for use, it has a child lock to prevent children from opening it. and the washing tablets you can choose basically every brand. but use sometimes special made salt tablets to clean the dishwasher, or you can let it run the longest program or short program with basically nothing in it, so that the dishwasher can be cleaned on it's own. and another plus side it is good for the environment so it saves your in the bills, but it only expensive in the purchase.
I bought this model two months ago for my new home, I have done much reserach about the Miele models before I bought this. It comes with a 5 year warranty which the money well worth paying for. This dishwasher is unbelivable silent, you can't quite know when you turn it on, unless the light indicates it, you wouldn't even know that it is working. Inside of the machine is very user friendly with foldable plate sections at the bottom and another section on the top to hold the wine glassess. This model doesn't have a cutlery basket instead has a top section where you could place the cutlery in, again I find this much useful than the normal basket as it gives you more space at the bottom section. I would recommend any Miele brand to anyone as they are a German make and with this model you can't beat the 5 year warranty.
