So off we toddled to John Lewis to look for a dishwasher. We'd done some research and knew we wanted a machine that was quiet and reasonably efficient. We chose the Miele 640 for lots of reasons: Miele have the best reputation out of all the dishwasher manufacturers. Their machines are the quietest by some degree (we live in a first floor flat). Rather usefully, it is 0.2 of a cm narrower than standard, which may seem like very little to you, but it was to fill a gap that was possibly smaller than standard.
