... have had this plate warmer for a coulple of years now and I am very happy with it. It is really nice when you have some friends around, and it helps keep the food warm whilst we are dishing up food. Miele G 977 ... want something of a medium size and gave the dimensions, that it could hold smaller items as well as larger items like pans and Pyrex dishes and I also told him my budget was up to £400 and nothing more than that, oh and it had to be white to match my other main appliances and simple to use. So I didn t think I was asking for too much really. Miele G975SC Plus ... appliance was a great disappointment to us. It is poorly designed and performance was no better than the 11 year old machine that it replaced. Although Miele uses the cutlery tray as a selling point, it significantly compromises the rest of the dishwasher. The cutlery tray is hard to load (takes at least 3 times as long as a basket) and takes up a lot of room at the top of the dishwasher. The top rack has three positions: in the lowest position, standard dinner plates cannot fit in the lower part of the dishwasher. In the upper position, standard size bowls will not fit in the upper section. The middle position doesn t allow plates on the lower section or bowls... Miele G646Sc ... Miele dishwasher was a replacement for a Neff machine which was over 10 years old. I chose it because of the A ratings for wash, dry and energy performance. Also, I liked the idea of an extra shelf for cutlery and its quiet operation. The machine was somewhat difficult to plumb-in due to restricted space at the back of our kitchen units and the fact that the hose has a box built onto it which I think is for stopping waste water flowing back into the machine. Build quality is good but not as sturdy as our old Neff machine. The cutlery tray in particular is somewhat light in construction and wouldn't stand up to mis-use by children.
