This SMEG DD612SCA is the 60cm semi integrated dishwasher from

this range.It is a replacement for an Electrolux that only lasted

5 1/2 years. This is our second ever dishwasher and I am very

please with it. It was bought for only £321 at the start of this

August 2009. It is a well built high quality product. I love the

smudge resistant stainless steel and solid build with sleek good

looks.

As far as washing your plates go it couldn't do better. I am

getting sparkly clean results even with welded on ready brek

using the lightest wash option so is very economical and fast

too. This dishwasher is the most basic from the range as it does

not have the 1/2 load option or 3 in 1 option or timer but

personally I don't require these options anyway as the dishwasher

is only put on once a day in the evening by which time it has

filled up. I can't see the point of the 3 in one option anyway

I'd rather add my own salt then I know that the correct amount is

being added for the water hardness in our area.

The dishwasher is also so simple to use with a button to scroll

through the 5 different washes and another to start and stop it.

So simple to reset too.

I also love the clever design of the racks inside which offer

maximum flexibility in loading different sized items into the

dishwasher. My over sized dinner plates fit no problem. There are

several different ways of loading cutlery too with a second rack

above the top drawer. Same load area as the Electrolux but feels

like so much more with the versatility of the loading

possibilities.

As far as drying is concerned the appliance is B rated but only

twice has there every been any wet stuff when the cycle has

completed.
I am also happy with the noise level as it is quieter than other

dishwasher all you hear is a lovely soft swishing sound of the

water. It has the same same noise level apparently as the old one

though must just be the quality of the sound making it more

acceptable and carry less.

Overall a fantastic dishwasher I would recommend to anyone.
