I had not owned a dishwasher before, so I haven't much experience before this. I got this dishwasher in the summer of 2013 and it hasn't disappointed.
It was as described in terms of size, so there were no problems with fitting it into the gap in the kitchen left by the previous owners who took all the appliances
Loading it takes some thought however.
It runs really quietly - we don't have to shut the kitchen door or turn up the TV or radio when it's running, so that gets a thumbs-up.
On trying to work it the very first time, I wasn't sure it was working - seems to have a phase of quietly humming to itself before the water gets going, so for the very first time there I was, bobbed down listening to it, wondering why it wasn't taking in any water, whether it had been plumbed in properly, was it faulty, oh the fretting!!. but no, seems to be its way - turn it on, it hums for a bit, then takes in water, then gets to washing. So don't fret if that happens for you, seems to be OK.
The controls are simple enough for a novice like me to be able to look at it and know what to press.
It can also be interrupted in the middle of a wash, the door can be opened without having water go everywhere, and the forgotten plate popped in
As I think others have suggested, when it's finished its work, pop the door open so that the steam can escape. Helps the glasses not be puddle-holders.
And of course very happily it was some hundreds of £s cheaper than other appliances with similar features; eco wash, time delay, choice of detergent settings (3-in-1, seperates), ability to alter salt settings, number of settings that can be washed, power usage, reasonable water usage.
I like this machine, and would recommend to others.
