... use the normal wash setting, and that is fine for general daily use, the intensive wash is great when you have done a roast dinner. The machine has 2 filters, a small one which should be rinsed out after each use (it takes less than a minute to do), and a large one which they suggest should be cleaned once a month. As the chief washer upper in our family of four I can highly recommend this dishwasher! We got it 18 months ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. It is a good size, and easily takes all the cups, glasses, plates, cutlery and even saucepans that we generate in the average day. There are a choice of settings: intensive wash, normal wash, light wash, and rinse and hold.
