... Zanussi that there is a design fault whereby the lid on the detergent compartment catches on the top basket and cannot open properly, so the tablet cannot get out properly and does not dissolve. It doesn't make any difference whether your top basket is on the upper or lower setting. I am now in discussion with Zanussi for a refund and heartily recommend that you give this one a wide berth , unless you love washing up your dishwasher's mess! P.S. don't be misled by the one star, it wouldn't let me award no stars....more

As we all know when you buy something and you get it home and it doesnt do or work as well as it says on the packet or box what do we do we take it back but with big items like this dishwasher you cant i advise that you get in touch with the ppl you baought it off and get them to look at it and if they dont fix it they should either give you a full refund or replace it .

DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!! This dishwasher does not wash the dishes. We have hads ours since September 2007 and can count on one hand the number of successful cycles it has run - and it's used at least once a day. It does not dissolve the (Finish) dishwasher tablet, which remains almost intact in the bottom of the machine after the cycle has finished. We have had service engineers out to it and apparently they have been told by Zanussi that there is a design fault whereby the lid on the detergent compartment catches on the top basket and cannot open properly, so the tablet cannot get out properly and does not dissolve.
