We have almost always had Zanussi appliances, and have never regretted it. This one is a recent purchase, just a year old, but is shaping up well. We have another Zanussi in a second home, and it has laster for sixteen years so far, as has the Zanussi washer, with not a problem.

This latests dishwasher loads really efficiently, without those annoying water distributors that can clog up the top layer. The upper tray is height-adjustable as well.

There are five programmes, with varying temperatures from 70 to 55 degrees. The hotter programmes are quicker (about 100 minutes) and the coldest takes about 2 hours 40. The display tells you how much time is left.

There are indicators for reflling with Salt or Rinse Aid.

It runs best on liquid dishwashing stuff - advice generally is to avoid 3-in-1 tablets.

Very easy to keep clean.

Don't overload it - it won't then do the job.

You should be able to get one for £225 - £250.

There's also a 30-minute programme, which does pretty well, and is obviously useful if you are in a hurry.
We find that it's best not to pack the machine, filling every last gap, how ever tempting it might be to do so. Really challenging stuff is best on the bottom row of the machine too.
PS, the Zanussi in the other house is now 17 years old and going like a train.
