I like the upper basket which you can raise or lower. You can get quite a lot in and it washes well. HOWEVER unless you actually LIKE watching your electricity meter going around faster than the speed of light, buy something else. I simply could not understand why my electricity bill was so high bearing in mind I live in an eco home with no electric kettle, microwave, electric cooker, tumble dryer or immersion heater. I happened to wash a load of dishes yesterday and on passing the meter, I checked it as I do several times a day and was horrified!!! The red light which usually blinks once every 12 seconds, was one continuous blink!!! Even the toaster doesn't make it go as fast. I have a feeling it is the drying part at the end where the element heats up which is expensive and sadly, there is no way to prevent this in order to just air dry with th door open. So it is off to the council tip with it over the weekend. This dishwasher seems to be for rich people. Certainly I can't afford to run it.
Well I must admit we didn't choose this dishwasher it chose us! Unfortunately a couple of years ago we had a little fire in our old Zanussi dishwasher! I opened it in the morning and all our what should have been clean plates were black! it must have run out of oxegyn before taking hold I'm glad to say.
Needless to say we claimed on insurance as it was an accident, we think something plastic dropped onto the heating element which drys the dishes after they've been washed and caught fire.
Our original dishwasher was no longer available so this was the next one they would pay for. Actually we really like it, it doesn't have the heat element in the dishwasher it's underneath which is better so nothing can fall onto it and burn.
It has 5 programmes, a rinse hold, Economy, Quick wash, Normal and Intensive. To be honest we just use normal all the time and it's fine.
I like the stacking system you can get loads in there, we've had two other dishwashers and this is better than both for stacking ability. It even has drop down sides at the top so that wine glasses can be clipped in to save them moving around.
It is easy to clean and fill up with salt and rinse aid.
I've found it a great dishwasher and have been really pleased. One little tip when it's finished drying just leave the door open a touch and all the condensation comes out otherwise it's all wet!
