This is the first dishwasher I ever owned and without doubt it is a horrible unreliable machine and nearly put me off dishwashers for life. I got it mainly for my wife when we had our second child as the amount of washing up was getting too much for her and she was forever complaining that she spent all her free time washing up. I told her that this was an exaggeration and that sometimes it's nice to put the radio on and have a nice hour washing up. She told me to shut up and buy a dishwasher. So I bought this.
It seemed pretty easy to fit, the man who delivered it brought a friend with him and he plumbed it in about fifteen minutes. And for the first two weeks it was good. It worked. You could put dishes in it, put dishwasher tablets in it, select which programme you want, and turn it on. And it would wash the dishes. They'd come out clean. Great, I thought.
Wrong. Not great. After two weeks, it broke. A small thing at first - just one of the buttons. Easily replaced under warranty. A few days later, it wouldn't work - just wouldn't start when you selected a programme and pressed start. Again, a workman came out and fixed it - replaced one of the internal parts. A few weeks after that, the anti-flooding mechanism went, and every time you used the dishwasher it would flood and my poor wife had to use a plastic jug to empty the dishwasher whilst I encouraged her supportively from the sidelines.
In the end we sold it on ebay and decided to get a better dishwasher.
awful dishwasher. mine is only 2 years old and has only worked for about 12 months out of the 24. various parts went and now the anti flood device keeps coming on, we have to empty the plates etc., tilt up the dishwasher and let the water pour out, then, if we lucky, we can get 2/3 more washes out of it before doing it all again...the dishwasher is also very hard to stack correctly as the prongs fall down.no more zanussi.
