AndreBoyle DS30: ... pint-size dish-washer we got really is very powerfully. We've yet to be disappointed by what it keeps managing to do for us. We had to go for a half-sized one because there's simply no room for a full-sized unit in our kitchen. So now it's nestled inbetween the sink and the oven. Routing the cables was a personal nightmare but once done and running it worked just dandy.I exected that with only beig ha...

... in our flat has a name so we don't call everything 'thingy' or 'whatsit'. If I say 'please load up Richard' before you go to bed, my husband knows it's the dishwasher that wants sorting out. There was a Richard Gere film on TV the first night we used it. There was no room for a full size dishwasher, so this was the ideal solution, and anyway it's perfectly adequate for a full day's worth of washing up for two, even though I work at home and generate loads of tea and coffee mugs. If we have visitors, we just run two loads - it's quick enough if a bit noisy. Loading the baskets can be tricky if you have a lot of...

... glasses get used. There can be nothing nicer than the squeeky clean shine of a dishwashed wine glass! Make sure you fill up the dishwasher salt regularly (mine has a light to tell me) and that your dishwasher uses rinse aid (it makes a huge difference to the finish). I have not noticed any difference between the brand name and shops own brand stuff, I buy what is cheapest or on special offer. Dishwashers need only a few programs, an extra hot wash for really grubby stuff, a hot wash for daily stuff and a gentle wash for glasses. I give pots a good soak and a scrub before I dish wash them, but all I do with crockery is scrape the food off, no need to pre-rinse stuff wi...

... kitchen is quite small and was already crammed full of appliances, floor space was really at a premium, so I had little choice about which dish washer to buy. It had to be a slim line model and the Zanussi D30 which I have, was pretty much the only one available at the time I needed to buy it. This appliance is only about 45cm wide, where as a standard dishwasher would have been about 60cm and just wouldn't fit in the little bit of space I had available. I find that it is plenty big enough for all the crockery and cutlery that a family of 4 generates in a day, although I do choose to wash pots and pans by hand. The dishwasher is quite flexible... Yo...
