Ion iCue ... wannabe DJ s this is one of the cheapest and most effective ways of learning the essentials of mixing music tracks. In the box you ll find a hardware mixer that plugs into the USB port of a PC and some basic DJ software. There s no need for a driver disk as the hardware installs as soon as it s plugged into a machine, and the device is also powered by USB, so no need for external power. The mixer has basic controls needed for any budding DJ - volume, gain, crossfader, bass, treble and pitch. Numark CDN25+G Professional Karaoke CD Player ... Numark CDN25+G is another piece of DJ equipment that I use on a regular basis and have been impressed with. This dual CD player is rack-mountable (which means you can fix it into a rack with other audio equipment or fix it into a flightcase which is used to permanently house the equipment). I ve always found Numark products to be sturdy and reliable and this is no exception. Although I have mine mounted into a flightcase with my mixer, the front panels (where the buttons and the cd loader trays are located) are still exposed to some abuse and all still work fine. Marshall MG50DFX Combo Amp ... ve enjoyed the Marshall MG50 and have owned mine for about 5 years now. Firstly I would like to say that in its price range, this is definetly the most cost effective amp money can buy, however I do have a few issues with it Advantages: The amp is extremely easy to use and offers one clean channel for a clean guitar sound (Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble) and one overdrive channel for distortion, this contains a sound contour switch which allows you to play about with the type of distortion you want.
