The Peavey 5150 head and 4X12" cabinet has been around for some time (there's even a 'updated' version hitting the streets soon). This is an all valve guitar amplifier designed by Edward Van Halen and Peavey about 10 years ago. It can be thought of as a cross between a Soldano SLO 100 and a Marshall. This ampifier is aimed directly at rock players. It certainly doesn't disappoint. The controls are all familiar with the possible exception of the 'resonance' control.
