Akai MPC2000XL

I have recently purchased an AKAI MPC2000XL, which after the intially confusing name and steep learning curve has allowed me to sample and sequence beats and riffs. From here I can layer them over one another and produce songs for the masses. I use this machine to play the backing tracks to 2 musician friends who play guitar and bass over the top.
