Advantages: Well designed and performance built mixer with a reasonable price tag!
Disadvantages: Slightly the average DJs budget but worth every penny if you want the real deal.
Well this is one of them products that truely performs beyond expectation and looks and feels amazing to use.. Its the Pioneer DJM600!
It comes in either a Granite Charcoal or a Sleek Silver colour both of which draw in your attention without delay and then the overall biggy is that its designed and manufactured by no other than Pioneer which alone gives the user satisfaction knowing that you will expect to hear nothing but crystal clear output with an easy to use platform without worrying about performance and long term use.
The mixer features 4 channels all of which have a CD/Line input for use of either turntables or digital devices. There is also two outputs one for your master, generally straight to your Amp or Active Speakers and a booth line for a recording or monitoring device.
There are two microphone inputs offering XLR and JACK connections, there are also additional outputs and an extra recording line with send and return functions so the mixer is ideal for studio and production purposes.
The mixer is very simple to use, channels can be selected by switching the knobs located just above the crossfader, each line has its own equalizer to control "gain", "bass", "mid" and "hi" levels.
Theres also the huge advantage of the built in BPM counter which automatically shows you the BPM per channel as soon as it detects the sound coming through! Again you can adjust the counter to a specific channel.
The DJM also comes with a number of effects which can easily be activated and tweaked live all of which can add an amazing response to any gig!
You can easily monitor channels by simply pressing the button of the selected channel you can then add and remove channels in your headphones as you require before you play the content to your audience.
The DJM 600 is a must have requirement to any professional DJ or anyone who can see themself in a DJ career, but again with Pioneer it comes with a price tag of around £550 which however is a considerably reasonable price for the level of lifetime quality that you will receive with this product.
Summary: If its Pioneer then it speaks for itself!
