Advantages: cheap, good upgrade, durable

Disadvantages: take a while to wire up if your a spoon like me

i'd seen ads for these around, selling them very cheaply so i immediately dismissed them as crap and carried on reading. my mistake i believe.

a few months ago when i was still playing around with my first set of decks i had a mate round so i thought i'd demonstrate my amazing skills to him, marvellous i thought. He was suitably impressed by my mixing skills yet commented on the poor sound quality i was experiencing. i hadnt thought about this so i had a quick listen and he was right, it was crap.

A quick flick through a magazine and my bank statement led me to the decision that these were the cartridges for me (price being the decider) i found the cheapest place and said "i'll have two please" they said certainly and then they arrived, good good i thought. Thinkin they'd be pretty much the same as what i had already i wacked them in (wacked is a bit of a strong word, not being to smart it took a while to wire them up) slapped on a record and i was thrilled, marvellous i thought, sound quality was 10 times better, hooray!

They track nicely, they're sturdy enough to take a beating from scratching and the like but not so heavy that they'll damage vinyl, a very nice cartridge for the money, extremely satisfied.
