“ Brand: Argos / Type: Pet Bed - Dog / Cat „
We purchased this bed a couple of years ago for our cat Belle. We decided to get it for her based on its Animal Print style as she was an all black cat and always thought she looked like a little panther so it suited her.
We purchased the bed in Argos for £14.99 in the sale. It was advertised as a dog bed but when we viewed it we saw that it was not too big for a cat either so we purchased it. It's dimensions are 51x43x19cm. Plus it was really cheap considering how much places like Jollyes and Pets At Home were asking.
The bed is made from a brown plush material on the outside with the sides and back of the bed curving upwards. The inside of the bed is covered with a leopard print material which also has a padded removeable base in the same style. The bed is very nice. It is soft to the touch and very well padded for comfort for your cat or dog. The whole bed is also comppletely washable and can be washed in the washing machine on a low temperature which pleased me a lot as there is nothing worse than a grubby pet bed as I think it looks as though you don't care about them much.
The bed is one which is really well made and of a high quality too. The stitching is invisible stitching and never looked as though it would come loose to form a hole.
Belle really loved this bed and she was much more of an independent cat than the two cats we have now are. She much preferred her own company and would come for strokes as and when she wanted them. She was a funny thing. She used to snuggle right down in this bed and fall asleep, purring lightly in contentment. She didn't hestitate jumping into this bed when we put it out for her and she could always be found in it.
Highly recommended pet bed which is definately for cats or (small) dogs.
Earlier this summer I wanted to buy a new bed for Joey my West Highland White Terrier. He has a decent bed but it's of a rigid design and I wanted a spare, as we were going on holiday for two weeks, and my eldest son would be moving in for the fortnight to dog sit but, I thought there might be occasions when he would rather go back to his flat, close by and take Joey with him. I believed if Joey had a bed that could be put into a bag it would be ideal to take with them both, and would mean that Joey was more likely to settle. He is a very home loving pooch.
I looked online at the Argos site,( www.argos.co.uk) as I think their pet section is quite good and, usually reasonably priced. My idea was to get a small, basic and cheap bed suitable for a small dog. My mistake was to involve my teenaged daughter into the selection process.
Immediately she said,
'Look there's Joey, modelling the perfect bed. It's got to be that one!' And there, in all its glory was the Argos Animal Print Pet Bed, with Joey settled in it, looking snug and almost smiling (well, it looks like a smile to me!) Of course, it wasn't really Joey but it could have been his cousin.
I decided that to please my daughter, and hopefully Joey, I would choose that particular bed, if it was in stock. I reserved it at a nearby store and collected it, later that evening. The price of this bed was/is, £19.95.
On return, we showed Joey the bed and he had agood look and smell. He seemed a bit confused, I thought, as his old bed was still around but, when I'd placed it in our small downstairs room, he got in and later slept in it for a while.
I like the shape of this bed. Joey usually has his bed in the hallway, near a radiator, and I prefer a rectangular or oval shaped bed as it allows enough room for anyone to walk passed, rather than a round shape. This bed fits neatly in many places, alcoves, corners, or in the hallway.
I haven't yet washed this bed but it is machine washable. Joey has had a similar bed before which always washed well. I have, however, washed the cushion/mattress of this bed as it is removable. After drying on the line in the garden, I was pleased with the result.
The bed feels nice and is lovely and soft. I like a dogs' bed to have sides to keep Joey out of draughts in the winter months. Although, saying this, Joey doesn't often stay in his bed for long. He changes his place frequently and seems equally happy to curl up in a small space or to stretch out like a fur rug.
The bed is brown and this really should have put me off as it doesn't go with my decor, but then again, I did get it as a spare so that doesn't matter too much.(His other bed has a red tartan cushion, which is very fitting for a West Highland Terrier.) The animal print interior of this new bed is very 'en vogue.'
Taken from the website, www.argos.co.uk:

After years of my dog sleeping on our beanbag (yes, she stole it as a puppy) we finally decided to get her a new bed, if she liked it or not! The scruffy beanbag had to go and we wanted to replace it with a new stylish bed.
I looked around some pet shops and on the internet but was shocked to find that most were way too expensive and over our budget. Walking through my local retail park I spotted Argos, and decided to have a look at what dog beds they have on offer.
Argos have quite a wide range of beds available which I was rather suprised about but this Animal print pet bed really caught my eye. The bed is suitable for small dogs and cats, but I would say it looks more like a dog bed than a cat bed.
Style - The outer lining of the bed is brown polyester with 'cupped' sides and the inside of the bed is leopard print with a removable pad which makes it easy to wash at 30 degrees. This was important to me and probably is to all dog/cat owners as we don't want it to smell and look dirty after a while.
Size - The bed is suitable for small cats and dogs. Size (W)51, (D)43, (H)19cm. Internal size (W)46, (D)37, (H)15cm. My dog is a scottie dog and she more or less fills the bed, but still looks comfortable so I wouldn't recommend this pet bed for any dogs bigger than a scottie or westie.
Price - I bought this pet bed for £19.95 which I consider a bargain after seing so many other rediculously over priced beds in other stores and online. The bed is good quality and stylish so for £19.95 I think its brilliant.
I thought it would take a while for my doggy to get used to her new bed but after having an initial cautious sniff she jumped right in and snuggled in. She seems to love it and looks very comfortable.
I would reccommend this pet bed!
