One unfortunate part of owning a dog is having to clean up after them and in particular, cleaning up their poop. I have an 8.5 month old miniature schnauzer puppy and when I got him I knew I would never be one of those people who seem quite content to let their dog poo anywhere and not pick it up. There are few worse things in life when you're out and about on a walk than treading in dog dirt, it wasn't too many years ago that dog poop on pavements was a common sight and the all-too familiar squishing sensation not only ruined a nice walk but a decent pair of shoes too.
