      Clix Treat & Training Bags

This clix treat and training bag has been one of the best tools I have bought for helping me to train my little puppy. I initially bought this because personally, I don't like or want to carry his treats around in my jacket or trouser pockets all day. Also, I needed something for when we were out in the garden and I was wearing something that did not have any pockets, as I found it's a tad annoying trying to juggle the little titbits in my hand while concentrating on getting him to do what I wanted.

This Clix treat bag is quite a simple design, but it is a very sturdy and quality product. It has one larger main treat compartment that has a drawstring closure making it easy to access, but also importantly easy to close. Keeping curious little noses out of the treats until you want to give him one. For a small little bag it has quite a lot going on, along with the main pocket it also has a zipped pocket at the back, where I store a few bags for those occasions where you need to scoop some unpleasant poop. Also at the back it also has a clasp that will securely fasten it to a belt or trousers. At the side it also has a little pocket and some spare fabric which you could attach other things to. It also has two clasps one at the top back which you could clip to a belt loop for carrying this around more securely and another one that would support additional items.
It there was one thing that I think this is missing from this treat bag would be a wrist or neck strap to make it even easier to carry around.

These treat bags are available in a range of different colours, I bought mine in a nice shade of purple, but I have since seen it in a blue colour and a combat style pattern. I am sure there is probably more of a selection to suit a multitude of people.

I paid £7.95 from mine from a local pet store but you can buy these bags from many places including Amazon for around £5.

This is a great little bag that does a brilliant job. This little treat bag deserves a four out of five stars, it is a simple design, but so far I have had a lot of use from this. I have also recommended this to other people who have also found it a useful tool in training their pups. Overall a great product and well worth your money.

An essential piece of equipment for any dog owner!

*What is the Clix Treat Bag?*
These treat and training bags are produced by the Clix range, who produce a large variety of training and behavioural equipment for dogs. Clix is owned by The Company of Animals, who also manufacture the highly popular Kong range of dog toys and treats and is known world wide for producing high quality pet care items.

      *The product itself*
I'm sure every dog owner in the world will have experienced the same problem as I regularly encounter at least once in their dog owning life, and that is when you put dog treats in your pocket to take with you when exercising or training your dog, only to find that when you go to get them- they have either crumbled up or melted into a sticky gooey mess making your pockets stink to high heaven and leaving no treats left to give to your dog!

This was a regular, almost daily, problem for me. I always like to take some small treats out with me for Grace and Benson when I take them on walks, just as little tasty snacks for doing what they're told or for rewarding good behaviour, and the same when I am doing some form of activity or training with them- I like to use small food rewards as little incentives and extra praise but was so fed up of either biscuits crumbling up into a hundred little crumbs or moist treats melting into a meaty gooey mess, that I stopped taking treats with me all together, meaning the dogs lost out through no fault of their own, and weren't getting any food rewards in training, which wasn't fair on them. So I went on the look out for a treat pouch that I'd seen other owners with in the past and came across this Clix one, I placed an order hoping my pongy pocket troubles would soon be solved!

The Clix Treat and Training Bags are pretty self explanatory really! They're small colourful bags, made from durable washable material that are designed to hold treats and training items for your dog whilst out walking or when taking part in training sessions with your pet- leaving your pockets clean and free for other things. You can attach the bag to you either by the belt loop on the back, or by the plastic clip at the top, so you can handily take them which you whatever you may be wearing and the hands free design enables you to have your hands available to give your dog the treats or hold their lead or other training items.

The bag has several different compartments for all small items that you may need when out with your dog. Firstly, is the main largest compartment, this is the area in which the treats are supposed to go, it is lined with a black wipe clean plastic material so its very easy to keep clean and to wash in between uses and is closable with a drawstring fastener which makes it both rain and dog proof, and also keeps the treats inside the bag fresh until use. There is also a small loop on one side which you can slot a target stick into if you use these method to treat your dog and then another small compartment on the other side designed to hold a training clicker, this compartment also has a small metal clip to attach your clicker to before putting it into the compartment, this is extremely useful as it obviously stops you loosing it. Lastly, on the back of the bag is a securely zipped compartment to hold any other small items that you may need, such as your keys, mobile phone or dog mess bags.

      *Packaging*
The treat bag comes attached to a small piece of cardboard which tells us minimal information such as the company name, product name and intended purpose of use. There is also contact details for Clix and The Company of Animals should you have any questions or comments about the product. The packaging is recyclable.

      *Price & Availability*
Clix is a highly popular brand and available in most of the larger pet stores and online. I purchased my Clix bag from www.canineconcepts.co.uk for £6.79 where there is a choice of three colours available- red, camouflage or purple.

      *My opinion*
Once I'd ordered my Clix treat bag I was quite eager for it to arrive, as I hoped it'd solve my problems of horrible dog treats messing up my coat and trouser pockets and let me get back to being able to take treats for the dogs when we go out walking or to use in training sessions with them.

When the bag arrived I was instantly very impressed with it. I'd ordered the red one and the colour was lovely- very bright and vivid and it seemed of very high quality, I've used many Clix products in the past and been very happy with them as they've always been very well made and long lasting and it was clear that this treat bag was too and was going to last me a long time even with daily use. I liked the fact there was two options I could use to attach the bag to my clothing and I tend to use both of them depending on what I am wearing- on warmer days I can have the bag attached straight onto my belt, and then on cooler ones when I don't have a coat on, I can clip the bag onto my pocket and it stays put securely wherever it is. The compartment in which the treats go is fantastic, its large enough to hold a good number of treats and has a nice wide opening so I can quickly and easily get the treats from the bag to give to the dogs and then the drawstring closure enables me to close the bag back up again when not in use. Also, the wipe clean inside of the bag lets me use both biscuit treats and moist ones as it's very easy to clean afterwards- I tend to put mine into a sock and then in a cool wash in the washing machine every couple of weeks and it cleans up lovely.

The other three compartments are also very handy. I don't use a target stick with my dogs so I tend to use the little loop that is designed for carrying this to attach my keys to or for holding my lip salve! The clicker holder holds my clicker very well, even though it is not a Clix branded one and its very easy to get to and nice to always have it to hand instead of having to root around my pockets for it! And then the zipped compartment at the back is invaluable, I can have a mess bag for the dogs in there, and sometimes my mobile phone or a packet of tissues and it keeps them secure and also dry as the bag is waterproof, and the design of the bag stops the smell from the treats reaching the items in the zipped compartment, which is nice especially if you are carrying some tissues in there.

Over all, I couldn't be without this treat bag now- I use it on a daily basis and it makes taking treats when walking or training the dogs much easier and more pleasant and hygienic too as it minimises smells and is very easy to keep nice and clean. I've had the bag for a fair while now and even with daily use in all weathers, holding a variety of stinky treats, and sometimes even carrying items which are perhaps a bit large and heavy for the bag such as a small rubber ball for the dogs to play with, it is still in excellent condition with no damage to the seams and no rips or tears to the fabric. The colours are also still very vivid and with excellent waterproof properties even after being washed in the washing machine every couple of weeks and the small and basic, yet very useful, design of the bag means you don't look daft using it.
