The red kong chewy bit is made of a rubber material and has 4 grouves cut along it. This is designed to help keep your dogs teeth clean and his gums health as they chew on it.
Our dog isnt that interested in toys anymore now that he is old and lazy so i use the kong paste on the groves to encourage him.

This is a briliant toy as not only does it keep your dog amused but it also cleans his teeth at the same time.
