Good Boy Happy Heads Dog Toy

I bought this dog toy around a month or so ago now from Tesco as it was reduced from £2.80 to £1.50. The toy is quite cute which is the main reason i bought it and comes in the form of a ball in the shape of a dog head. There were a few different breeds of dogs to choose from when i bought mine; a rottweiler, bulldog, husky, labrador type dog (yellow with a black nose) and a black and white one which i assume is a dalmation. They were all very cute with lots of detail making the breed of dog recogniseable. I got the husky one which is shown above on the dooyoo catelouge picture and as you can see it is quite obvious that it's a husky due to the markings and colour scheme.

The ball comes on a little cardboard tag which is blue with the Good Boy logo on the left and the title of the product. It is minimalistic but does the job in letting the customer know excactly what the product is. Because it's not packaged in a box, i was able to 'sqeak and test' before buying to make sure the squeaky inside the toy was not broken or annoying. (some squeakys are really high pitched, this one isn't too bad).

The material is a rubbery plastic and quite thin.

My dogs all liked this toy as it was something different. We used it to play fetch, hid it and squeaked it in reward-scheme games (find the toy and get a treat), etc. They enjoyed the ears and nose particulary and i found that the ears only lasted 3/4 days before been chewed off, then the nose, and the squeaker inside had soon been ripped out and chewed, leaving the head hollow. After a couple of weeks it had been completely ripped up and was a hazzard as it was easily edible. (luckily my dogs didn't eat it but some may.)

Overall it was fun while it lasted but i will not be buying this again. Anyone who had a dog who is a strong chewer and is thinking about getting one of these balls i'd advise against it; it just doesn't last well at all due to the easily tearable material. Young puppies, fragile dogs or dogs who don't chew should be ok with this toy but i'd reccomend to supervise. The little plastic squeaker that is inside the toy could block up the dogs stomach if swallowed and it's not hard to get out of the ball with strong chewers.

      A nice little budget toy

The Good Boy Happy Heads Dog Toy is one of a number of dog toys our dog has had and liked. Its a simple little toy similar to a ball toy really except that this one has an animals face shape to it and its squeaky too.

Our dog only has to see this little toy to go nuts for it, hunting for it if we put the toy behind our backs or under a cushion. As soon as she sees this little squeaky toy she is sniffing about keenly for it, so we thought it was worth making a product suggestion for and reviewing it here.

The Good Boy Happy Heads Dog Toy is a nice little thing that we picked up some time ago in a pet shop for just £1.59. Its a cheap toy to buy but it has kept our dog entertained and amused when we have let her play with it. Its not something we leave out for her to chew to bits though and I wouldn't recommend it as a toy that can be handed to your pet and then left with them for hours.

As something to play with along with our dog, we have found this works rather well and so would recommend it as something that small and medium sized dogs might like to play with. I don't feel its very suited to very large dogs who are chewers, as these are quite small toys and would be soon chewed up by a bigger dog, especially if left alone with it.

When we bought our Good Boy Happy Heads Dog Toy we had a choice of a number of animal heads to choose from. From memory there were the husky shown here, a doberman type one, a bulldog type one and some others with patches on one or both ears in various colours.

The one we picked was the husky dog shown in the piccy and as you can see it does slightly resemble a rather plasticy looking husky dod head. The main thing our dog has loved about this toy is that it squeaks when she nips and bites it. It can also be squeaked by us when playing along with her and she really seems to be very interested in the toy when she hears the noise it makes.

The Good Boy Happy Heads Dog Toy has been a nice toy for our dog that she enjoys playing with, so far its held up very well and although its small it certainly hasn't suffered any more than some of her other small squeaky toys. As a cheap to buy product to engage and amuse your dog I have to say this is a nice toy.

As its something we have not left our dog alone with I cannot say how well it would stand up to some serious chewing, but I do feel larger dogs with powerful jaws and a keen chewing habit could make lighter work of this than our dog has. As an all round squeaky dog toy, I feel this ought to get 4 stars.
