Dog Toys - Plush Talking - Beamer Cow Talking Toy
Never mind the puppy but this is one of my favourite toys that I have bought for him. I think that this Beamer talking (or mooing) cow toy looks great. You can see from the photo above why this toy is called - Beamer, it looks fun and funky and is always easy to spot in the garden, thanks to its big red snout.
This toy is a nice size, it's quite small and it's slightly ball shaped which means that we play fetch a lot of the time with this. It makes a mooing sound when pressed in the tummy and the noise machine is completely enclosed within the toy, so should be safe for dogs to play with.
My puppy can only make it moo every so often, which is fantastic. I think I would begin to find this toy annoying if he could activate the mooing sound whenever he wanted, instead this keeps him occupied for long periods of time trying to figure out how he did it the last time. This is just as well because the mooing noise is quite loud and it moos three consecutive times before going quiet.
So far apart from being a bit dirtier this toy pretty much looks like it did when I first bought it. However, I have quite a large puppy being a labradoodle and I can imagine that this toy might be on the small side for him when he grows larger. I'd recommend this toy for puppies or smaller breeds of dogs, but then again that is not to say that some bigger dogs might still prefer smaller toys.
This is another toy I purchased from Amazon, where there is just a larger choice available than at my local pet store. I have been finding that dog toys don't come cheap and this toy is no exception. This toy retails for £5.55 and an expensive £2.95 postage and packaging. If I hadn't had some Amazon vouchers left I am not sure whether the expensive postage might have put me off ordering this.
This is a great toy and well worth a four out of five stars, it has provided hours of entertainment and it is still in good condition. I'd also like to point out that it is important that dogs have toys for entertainment and to keep their mouths occupied and to keep them out of trouble as much as possible. However, if you don't have the money to spend then be creative, my pups all time favourite toy is a used, old sock of mine.
