      three out of five stars

      Happy Pet Migrator Swan

I have now bought quite a few different ones of these toys in this range of Happy Pet imitation bird soft plush dog toys. My puppy loves soft toys, we have an array of hard rubber and chewable bones available, but it's the soft ones that he plays with the most and cosy's up beside when tired.

Overall, I think this is a pretty good toy with only one real exception. It is white. A puppy and a white toy makes for a grubby looking swan pretty quickly. Although this toy has no washing instructions I doubt that the manufactures would recommend putting it through a cycle in your washing machine. However, I have done just this and I was surprised that when it dried out it was cleaner and still working.

The swan when pressed makes a 'squawk' type noise rather than the usual squeaky that is found in most of his other toys. All of these different birds within the range of dog toys make an interesting noise, the noise really catches my pups attention. It is probably this reason that I keep buying more of these bird toys.

These stuff toys have all been well made and look and feel like quality dog toys. However, they are far from indestructible. My puppy seems to be very gentle with his soft toys, which means that they haven't been shredded to bits, but I can imagine that some dogs could destroy this toy in moments if they were determined and inclined. In particular my pup bites on the beak and so far it has remained in pretty good shape.

These toys are all available from Amazon for £5.99 (including postage and packaging) I bought quite a few of these when I received some Dooyoo miles. Although these toys are a bit expensive I think that you get a pretty decent product for your money. My pup's had hours of entertainment from these bird toys and they are still here to tell the tale.

This isn't my favourite in the range of Happy Pet bird toys as it really looks a bit disgusting now after a few weeks of plat. Although the pup loves it, I think he'd prefer all his toys to be grubby in an ideal world. This toy gets a three out of five stars from me, I would have preferred to have a black swan! This toy definitely has a shelf life in this house, not because of the pup but because next time it gets really grubby looking I am contemplating just throwing it out.
