Advantages: Nice for massage

Disadvantages: Doesn't pick up fuzzy hair

I bought this item as I used to use a similar item ot take the loose hair off my horse. Thinking this would do the same I bought this expecting excellent results.
Really had a thought a bout it I would have realised that a horse has very different hair to a dog. Apart from most dogs having double coats horses have a very short hair like coat.
As you can probably tell from the way this review is going, the Unigroom did not work for me. I suppose it may very well depend on what type of dog you have and what their coat is like.
I have a Rotti, Mali and Labrador. The Mali has a thick double coat ranging from wirey hair to longer hair on her back but still with the thick fuzzy undercoat. The Rotti has a very thick coat with a fuzzy undercoat, the labrador being the only one with a simple thinish coat.
Three large dogs with lots of hair, especially that annoying fluffy hair, needs a good brush to remove the loose hair before the dog decides to lose the hair in the lounge or shake the hair into the air only for it to go up my nose and tickle!

Unfortunately this item did not do the trick at all. I think the "bristle" were too big and too far spaced apart. Puting this against the brush I use now, A rake or a ferminator, they are so different. The rake has very thin bristles close together to be able to grab hold of the fuzzy hair and take it off the dog.
I found the only thing the Unigroom did was masage the dog. Not a bad thing the dogs will say but they still have most of the fuzzy hair as they had before the grooming session.
For this reason I would not rate this item for a grooming tool but for a massage tool for your dog this is good. And what better to give your best friend that a lovely massage, they give so much so give a little back! Although I find a massage with hands is better was you get a better conection with the dog so this item is not really required.
I picked this up for £4.99, pricey really as it has sat in the cupboard after one use of it!
It does fit in your hand nicely though and has little finger marks to grip it well.

Summary: Other brushes are better
