      A great conditioner

      I think most of you who read my reviews by now must have got the gist that I tend to spoil my four legged friends. Because they are shown dogs you do obviously need to make them look as presentable as possible under a judge because at the end of the day not only would a judge not want to look over a dog with a dirty coat but as an owner I'd be mortified to present a dirty dog and yes I have seen it happen. Therefore, I will spend time ensuring my dogs have an incredibly clean and well presented coat.

      For the Labrador who obviously has quite a short coat you don't have to worry about major grooming as once washed, dried and given a kick flick over with a brush to remove any dead/ loose hairs that is pretty much it but when washing it is always nice to use a conditioner of some sort to soften the coat. Recently I have been using Pet Head So Spoiled Conditioning Crème Rinse as it is recommended for those with short to medium length coats.

      == So Spoiled ==

      The Pet Head So Spoiled Conditioning Crème Rinse is made by the brand Bed Head who also manufacture and product a 'human' range known as Tigi. They advise that this particular condition is best on short to medium length coats and is a "luxurious crème rinse conditioner".

      It's formula has been made up of three key ingredients. The first being hydrolzed oat protein which is known as a natural conditioning agent which will not only retain moisture in the coat but it will also add softness. The next is Vitamin E which is known to help the skin and therefore helping to keep the shine to the dog's coat. Lastly, there is sunflower seed oil which is full of fatty acids and vitamins and due to being quickly absorbed by the skin it is incredibly nourishing.

      == Packaging ==

      Like all of the Pet Head range the So Spoiled Conditioning Crème Rinse comes in a bright blue plastic bottle which features a bone shaped top which is the known logo for Pet Head. On the front of the bottle it features the logo together with the product name together with a note about it's fragrance (oat and honey). On the back of the bottle there is information about the conditioner, usage instructions and of course the list of ingredients.

      == In Use ==

      To use this conditioner is no different than using a 'human' conditioner! You simply apply a small amount to a wet coat which has already been washed as there is little point using it on a dirty coat. The conditioner itself is a very pale cream colour and has a decent consistency, at first glance you could easily mistake it for a 'human' conditioner not only because of the consistency but also because of the aroma it has! It does claim to have an oat and honey scent and I can oddly say that it smells gorgeous! It has a lovely creamy yet sweet smell which is really lovely.

      You only need to apply a small amount to the coat but of course this does depend on the size of your dog but there is no need to use too much as not only will it be difficult to rinse out and potentially leave a greasy residue behind but it will also just be a waste! All you need to do is apply the required amount and massage through the coat. I tend to leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing it off just so it can penetrate the coat.

      Once on and massaged in you can notice a difference in the coat as it does feel silky smooth to the touch. Once applied the conditioner dissolves on the coat and of course once dissolved you cannot see where you applied the conditioner so when rinsing it is important to rinse the whole of the coat. The conditioner doesn't take long to rinse off leaving the coat nice and clean which is great as it does save time and it definitely isn't timely in rinsing off.

      == The Result ==

      Now using it on a golden Labrador means that you don't always get such a glossy coat as you would a black coated dog but her coat definitely has that subtle sheen to it and that gorgeous fragrance which has been left behind although subtle it is definitely noticeable. The conditioner does leave my dog's coat lovely and soft and does for quite a few days after using it which is great.

      Because it is rinsed off so easily and with minimal effort it does make the job of washing such a big dog a more pleasant task! Once rinsed off it doesn't leave any residue behind leaving the coat soft and supple. It has never irritated her coat/skin either as it is incredibly gentle and just like all Pet Head products it is paraben/chemical free so is incredibly gentle for the dog.

      == Overall ==

      A great conditioner which is great to use yes it may not be the cheapest available but it is certainly of the better ones on the market in terms of quality. Definitely a recommendation for me and can easily award it 5 stars.
