10 months ago, we added a new little member to our family, Pixie the puppy, she is a Shih Tzu with a lot of energy and a very short attention span. Pixie is really spoilt in our house and my fiancé brought her home this Knotted Rope toy from Pets at Home. She loves this toy and it seems to be her favourite game at the moment.

Playing with Pixie
At first I thought this toy was a little big for Pixie as she was a very young puppy when it was bought, however she has grown into it and gets on great when she is playing with it.

I find that Pixie pays lots of attention to this toy and does not bore of it easily, I think that she likes the fact that whenever me or my fiancé play with it, she gets lots of attention and one on one time to play.

Wear and Tear
This knotted toy is made out of cotton and is has wore and tore really well. Pixie isn't really a big dog and wouldn't be as strong as some others so I can't really comment on how it would hold up to them, but our shih tzu hasn't done too much damage to it.

This toy is made out of a middle plait handle with two ruffle bits on the side, ours is green and blue in colour and it is really easy for Pixie to see and catch in her mouth. The idea of this game is for the dog to play a kind of tug of war with you. It gets a little boring for me when I am playing with Pixie, but she seems to love it.

I hand wash this toy from time to time, just giving it a rinse at the taps outside with cold water, and it dries out quick enough and is ready to use again in no time.

Chewing on this rope is meant to keep your dogs teeth clean and healthier, which is great as it also helps prevent gum disease.

Price and Availability
You can buy this toy in Pets at Home for around £2.50, I think that this is a really good price for a toy for Pixie, especially as she hasn't tired of it in the last few months that she has played with it and it has stood the test of time.

Overall
I think that this is a great toy to buy your dog, it is a little big for puppies to get their mouths around, but now that Pixie is a little older, she loves playing with it. This toy is brightly coloured so it can be seen easily and Pixie gives it a lot of attention and seems to really enjoy playing with it. Overall I would give this toy 5 out of 5 stars.
