“ Brand: Pets at Home / Type: Dog Toy „
Along with all the "necessaties" for my newish puppy (which there seems to be a lot of!), are the many, many toys she has.
When we very first had her i wanted to get her a toy that she could carry with her, a friend almost, due to her having just left her brothers and sisters.
I found this particular toy with a selection of chew toys at Pets at home, and found that it looked so quirky and cute i felt determined to have it (convincing myself it would be the ideal toy/companion for my new puppy!).
It is reasonably small by comparison to other "cuddly" toys available out there, with it being only around 7" in length and with it comprising of two rubber balls (one for the head and one for the body), covered with a tan coloured cord type material, and attached with a flimsy effect yellow neck, this makes the toy very "flickable", which my puppy loves doing, she flicks about almost hitting herself in the face with it, but she seems to find it a lot of fun!
Finally it is topped with a quirky looking face and yellow comb on the top of it's head, which to be fair is always the first thing that gets chewed off! (This is the second one we have had since getting Belle, four months ago!).
Longevity is actually not that long, though did last longer the first one she had, as she treated (as i had hoped for!) like a friend, and preffered to carry it around and snuggled with it at night, so the first one got licked into submission before she started chewing it!
But the chewing did start, and anyone that has had a puppy will know that their teeth are like needles at that age, so made very short work of it (once it starts to fall apart it has to be disposed off as it becomes a choking threat).
This time she has chewed the face off and the neck away, and is currently using it as two seperate throw balls, though at any given time you can go to it and it will be wet through with slobber (gag, heave!), so thick is the material that covers it.
Price wise this cost me £4.00, which is quite fair compared to some of the better branded (but the same quality) toys available, though i do try to buy other cheaper toys for her to chew on too, trying to encourage a bit of longevity with everything she has (though she does have her favourites and these are the first to be thrown!).
This is a nice toy, that isn't the hardest wearing chew wise, but also doubles as a companion for Belle, recommended!
