Advantages: Not expensive and it won't disturb your dog.
Disadvantages: It will get scratched and battered without doubt
When we got our puppy we thought that we shouldn't get an extremely expensive or flashy collar since she would grow out of it quite soon being a lab.
So we thought this would be perfect.
We took it to the place where we were getting our pup from so she could get used to it and so it would have the scent of her mother and brothers and sisters but as soon as we put it on her her brothers and sisters had a great interest in it and in minutes it was getting destroyed! So we put it on her when she got home.
At first she didn't notice it but when she startes to get to her wild and exploring days she wouldn't leave it alone and it quickly got scratched and batered but that didin't seem to mind her.
I recommend buying a soft collar, not leather or string for puppies since their skin is quite sensitive.
Over all great collar for small pups.
