Pets At Home Scented Poop Bags
Advantages: Thick, well sized, scented
Eddie the dog can poop for England, I say that because when we take him out for his morning poop he literally has to do about three massive poos before he is ready to go home again. When it comes to poo bags I don't really mind what I buy as long as it does the job quickly and without any mess. I do find these ones from Pets at home some of the best I have used though so if I remember when I am in there I stock up on quite a few bags so I don't ever run out. I have poo bags in just about every handbag I own, in the car and in all our pushchairs just in case we always have one to hand whenever we need one.
What I like about these bags is that although they come in a big pack they are all individual. I have used poo bags on a roll often too but I find these often spilt when you try to tear them apart and are not as thick as these bags. These bags really are quite thick. They are made of a black plastic and are a bit thicker than a regular plastic bag, this is a good thing, believe me, as you don't really want to touch some of Eddie's poo's through the bag!
In order to use these bags I basically put my hand inside one, scoop up the poo carefully and then turn the bag inside out and tie up the handles. I have never had a issue with these bags ripping and the pooh falling out once I have tied them up so I would say they are very solid and secure. They have quite a wide opening and are fairly big too so you can get quite a big poo scooped up in one go in one bag which is great, especially when it comes to Eddie's poos!!
What I also like about these bags is that they are slightly scented with a lavender scent. It's not overpowering or strong which is good as I don't really like the smell of lavender but just a hint. It does work to take the smell of the poo away though whilst I am carrying the bag. I like this because if the red rubbish bin for the poos is a long way away I don't have to smell poo all the way around on my walk and also if I have the kids with me on the walk and am takin the pushchair I often hang the bag off the pushchair handle and in that way my little boy doesn't have the put up with a poo smell under his nose although my husband does tell me off when I do that!!
The bags are obviously available at Pets at Home for a price of £2.50 and you will find them in a silver packet with a really cute picture of a Dalmatian on the front.
