Rogz Kilimanjaro Dog Lead
When it came time to take my little puppy out for his first walk I wanted to introduce him to the outside world in short controlled bursts. I wanted to make sure he was safe and that I was in control at all times. I wanted a relatively short and strong leash that would give him enough room to move around, but ultimately to be close by me just in case. Especially, since it took him a while to become comfortable around traffic noises and anything else that was loud that he wasn't expecting.
I was pleased when I noticed that this lead was available to buy because Rogz is fast becoming a brand that I am beginning to trust and look out for. I own the matching puppy collar and I have found it to be excellent in both quality and durability, while looking stylish and nice all at the same time.
The lead I own looks slightly different from the one above as it is the same colour, but it has white paw prints rather than the darker blue paw prints like the lead above.
This lead feels thick, sturdy and substantial, I wouldn't ever worry that this lead might snap or be easily chewed through as it is made from tough stuff. This lead looks and feels every bit like a quality item and when it comes to my pup I would rather spend a bit more and get something I would happily rely upon. Especially, since he is a larger breed puppy that is getting stronger and stronger every day.
We bought this in large size and it is a great length, it allows my pup to walk in front of me and out to the side comfortably when he is near a grass verge rather than walking on the road. It is also easy to wind it a few times round my hand to make it shorter. The lead is quite a thick length and it is easy to grab without fear of causing nasty rope burns, which I have experienced in the past with thinner rope leads.
I bought this lead for around £10 - £15 from Pet's At Home, a store that must be appreciating all the business that I have given it over the last couple of months. I would completely recommend these Rogz products to anyone and I doubt I will buy anything else but these. This lead deserves a well earned five out of five stars.
Summary: Well worth 5 out of 5 stars
