Rogz Matterhorn Dog Collar
When we first got our little puppy, I did a mad dash round the pet store trying to get all the basic essentials that he might need and want. A collar and lead were one of my first thoughts. We have a rather large puppy who just keeps growing and growing and I wanted to get him a collar that had a bit of longevity to it but would serve him well at the minute. I know that he will need a new one in a few months time but I wanted a good quality collar for the meantime. After having a brief scan of what Pet's at Home had to offer I settled for this Rogz collar.
The Rogz collar I have looks slightly different from the photo above, it is the same vibrant blue, but mine has white paw prints, which are very cute on it. There were a lot of variety's and colours available, I would almost be certain that there was enough diversity to allow most people to get something that they liked for their precious pooch.
The material of the collar is thick and feels like a quality sturdy product. I feel confident putting this around my puppy's neck that if I had to grab hold of him he couldn't break free. The metal hoop to attach the lead is also like the rest of this collar and made to be sturdy. It is a thick and chunky metal hoop that is large enough that I have never had any problem getting a hold of it quickly to clasp his lead onto it.
When you click it into place round the little ones neck it has a further button on the clasp. A little slide up button that allows you to lock it into place, so that there is no way that this could accidentally click out of place and release the collar. In my opinion, I like that it has this but I by no means do I see it as a necessity. The clasp looks and feels sturdy and I doubt very much there would be many occasion where this would click open by accident.
When I have to get him a larger size of collar I would happily get this one but just in a larger size, it is a great quality and he seems to like it. It doesn't feel flimsy and after a month or so of daily use it still looks as good as it did the day we brought it and the puppy home.
I paid around £10 for this from Pet's At Home, but i believe it is available cheaper online.
I give this collar a five out of five stars, I would completely and happily recommend this for either a puppy or an older dog, it really looks and feels like a quality and sturdy product. A great dog collar.
