A very good dog chew worth the money

I have recently got myself a new puppy and he is a Rough Collie named Teddy. I have had dogs in the past and after reading many reviews on the Nylon Chocolate dog bone I decided to go and buy myself one.

At Tesco recently they had them down in price for £2.50 so I brought one but also the mint one which I never saw anywhere before. The mint bone is in a really lovely baby green type colour and it looks like a mint flavour just by appearance.

The chew is shaped like a dog bone which obviously helps the dog learn to chew on it but there is this really nice scent of mint which is not overpowering but manageable.

When you have mints you suck on that smell is very strong and if you can imagine a dog bone smelling like that it would be something to put the dog off chewing.

This dog bone has a slight smell which remains there for what seems forever. For the last month he has had this toy and he chews on it every single day and it is pretty solid and very robust and he hasn't even done any damage to it yet.

I think the reason for me this appeal is because the smell attracts the dog to the product and he knows he can smell something so he wants to explore and investigate. He takes one chew and realises it is something he enjoys and he sits and chews on it for what seems hours at a time.

There is a slight drawback from what I can see with these bones and that is when the dog continues to chew on one area it will eventually flake away the bone will and expose very sharp parts which could open the dog's gums up. This is a worry but for me I have not experienced that yet personally but it could happen.

When I got this bone at Tesco the lady at the checkout suggested it could be heated slightly to help the dog with teething issues and I did this once and found it worked pretty effectively so that is an option. I am unsure how safe this might be so do this at your own risk but this was something I was told and it worked.

They are easy to clean I just use a wipe such as a tissues and it cleans away anything my dog has left behind but so far for just £2.50 I have found this product to be excellent value for money.

There are other flavours around such as the chocolate variety but also a Vanilla flavour which I have yet to see anywhere but I am sure they would be excellent choices as well. Prices can vary but if you shop around the average price is just over £4 but they should last a long time indeed.
