Before we got our puppy almost five months ago I was researching online different methods of helping her fit into our home and came across the crate concept. I had seen my aunt use this for her small dog and her dog was content and cosy sleeping in it at night.


This crate cost me almost 65 euro which is very expensive for a bed but I thought this would help our puppy settle into our home with ease and I wanted her to be trained well from the moment we brought her into the house. The last thing I needed was a puppy tearing up the house while we were out so this seemed like a great solution.


The crate comes in many different sizes but I went for small as my puppy is a King Charles so she wont grow too big. I didnt want to overwhelm her with a very large crate and also I would have limited space for this cage in my utility which is why I chose small.


It is made of steel and thankfully it has rubber stoppers underneath to stop it from scrapping my wooden floor. The latch is easy to open and is dog and child proof. The crate is also foldable so it can be easily stored when not in use. We have often brought this over to my mothers house while she minded the puppy if we were going away and it was no trouble setting it up and taking it down again.


My puppy seemed a bit nervous at first but that was to be expected. She soon settled into her litte den and often goes there during the day to get a bit of time away from the hectic house. I am happier knowing she is safe and out of harms way at night. Also her water bowl fits perfectly into the cage with her.


I would recommend this to all dog owners because its a nice place for your dog to have their own space.
