I read a review for this product on here the other day and thought I would give it a try to see how it worked for my dog. the person reviewing said they had seen results for one of their dogs so it was worth a try.

I looked on Amazon and found a 200ml spray for £6.89 plus £1.50 pp charges so ordered it.

We have a couple of behavior problems with our dog Harvey. He is a cross lab - german shepherd so quite a big dog, and he doesn't like anyone coming to our front door. He also doesn't like it when any of us go to the door say to get the post in (the post is delivered to a box out side the door). Also he is very boisterous when I come in from being out and will jump up and bark at me and being such a big dog it was getting out of hand.

We had a behavior specialist come round with us and she gave us a chain which we have to rattle at him or throw it on the floor to make a loud crash noise to try to take his attention away for a bit but although it was working a bit it was not perfect and he still barks a lot when someone comes to the front door.

We got the spray on Tuesday morning and read up on it first. It tells you to spray the can away from the dog as soon as he starts to be naughty and then to give him a command straight away and if he does it then reward him straight away too. We decided we would give the command SIT as he knows this one really well.

We didn't have long to try out the spray as I was going to put the rubbish out in the front garden ready to be put out that evening. Usually, if I was going out to the front door he would start to get a bit naughty and try to follow me out the front which can be a night mare if someone walks past our garden as he would start barking at them. I had the spray in my hand and went to open the front door. I told Harvey to sit in the dining room and he did which got a reward then when he started to follow me out I sprayed the can once and told him to sit again and he did and he never followed me out at all while I was moving the rubbish bags.

A bit later in the afternoon, my daughter came home from college and knocked on the door. Usually this would start Harvey off barking until we have opened the door and he sees it is only her there. I had the spray in my hand ready when she knocked and sprayed it as soon as he started to bark and told him to sit. I couldn't believe it that he did as he was told and sat. He was cowering a bit, he certainly didn't like the noise from the spray. I managed to let my daughter in with no problems from the dog.

The next trial came on Wednesday when my OH was up in bed asleep as he was working that night. I was expecting my grandson to come after school, I had told him not to knock as it would wake his grandad up but I would be looking out the window for him. Usually the dog hears the gate open and would start to bark even when he knows someone is in the garden but as soon as I saw him start to react I sprayed the can and told him to sit. I managed to get to the front door, then I heard him growl a bit so I sprayed the can again and he stopped. I let my grandson in and the house was quiet. It was a miracle. I have never seen anything like it.

The last big test for me was this morning when I had to pop down the shop. When I get back he normally jumps up and barks at me as I come in the door where he is so excited. This morning I put the spray near the front door and as soon as I picked up the spray he run away and went in the other room. I didn't even need to use the spray, it has a label attached around the nozzle with a bit of string and it was just the noise of the label flapping was stopping the dog. I managed to get my coat off and hung up without the normal jumping and barking and then I gave him a big cuddle for being such a good dog.

I really wish we had known about this spray before hand and I am very grateful to whoever it was who's review I read.
