Trixie Natural Rubber Ring
Advantages: Tough and durable
Disadvantages: Outdoor use best
For a little Jack Russell, my little dog has some destructive power when it comes to toys. Not many last more than 5 minutes and it seems to be his personal conquest to ensure any toy given to him is promptly destroyed within a new record time. Couple that with his boundless energy and you get a bad combination. This Trixie Natural Rubber Ring however has done a great job of keeping him entertained and keeping him happy!
I won't lie to you, nothing really made me pay the £3 in store for the Trixie Natural Rubber Ring other than the fact that the dog needed a new toy. I read no reviews and did not do any research. It was an impulse buy and I did not really take much into consideration!
The first thing I noticed about this was how tough and durable it seemed. I gave up long ago buying toys with bits and bobs that could be chewed, frayed and bitten off and I also gave up a long time ago paying anything over the odds to keep the dog pleased. The Trixie Natural Rubber Ring fits in with both of these ideals! But the Trixie Natural Rubber Ring does as I said feel durable and after months of playing it has held together nicely which proves it has been a decent investment and ensures that I dont have to take another trip to the pet shop!
The only worries and concerns a) since the dog decided he would throw around the Trixie Natural Rubber Ring himself in the house I have had to relegate this to an outside toy. Given the toughness of it, the weight and the all round way it flies through the air, it can be destructive. You dont want the dog throwing this at a glass cabinet or indeed anything that can be knocked over. (Included my poor child on one occasion)
The only other concern is that its quite tough meaning I am always worried about tugging on this for the potential damage it could do to the dogs mouth. I am not saying it has done any damage yet but I don't get as much tugging action with this Trixie Natural Rubber Ring as I would other toys.
But they are just two downsides to an otherwise great little product and the Trixie Natural Rubber Ring will please dogs of any shape or size. Ideal for fetch where there is plenty of open space but if you are considering buying a Trixie Natural Rubber Ring then it may be best as an outdoor toy.
