      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I feed mine this all the time

I have generally fed my dogs Arden Grange apart from a pell of tripe and biscuits but shift work rant dred food was easier!

I usually aliterate between the lamb ad rice and the chicken and rice. Although the last few months I have Ben using the performance and premium ranges of Arden grange which are chicken and rice also but with more nutrients in them for working dogs.

A bag of chicken and rice is more expensive than the lamb, not sure why but you can pay around £36 for a 15kg bag if not buying in bulk or for working/breeding dogs.
The food gives the dogs an around well being with enough energy to exercise bu not too much to become fizzy.

There is no horrible smell from the biscuits so storage and feeding won't turn your stomach!

My dogs wolf this down and never leave any in their bowls so it must be good. I find as I is made of good quality ingredients I know the dogs are getting good food and not too much salt or sugar.

It averages at about 30% protein which suits an average to active dog. On top of this the people at Arden Grange are very helpful and only too willing to assist with any feeding issues.

A really good dry dog food

Having already reviewed two of the varieties of Arden Grange food that I give to my dog, I thought I'd review the other one Red eats regularly. Arden Grange Adult Chicken and Rice.

~What Arden Grange Say About Arden Grange Adult Chicken And Rice~

Arden Grange Adult Chicken and Rice provides wholesome, gentle nutrition for all breeds of adult dogs especially those that may suffer from a dietary intolerance. All Arden Grange products are hypoallergenic and free from wheat gluten, dairy products, beef and soya. They contain no artificial colorings, flavorings or preservatives. Feeding Arden Grange reduces the risk of dietary intolerances and allergies that can cause digestive disorders and skin complaints.

~Arden Grange Adult Dog Food Chicken And Rice~

As you may have already read in my other reviews, my little dog Red has a problem with his digestive system, making it difficult for him to go to the toilet at times. I swear by Arden Grange food for my dogs, although this food is quite expensive, I feel it's the best for my dogs. The Chicken and Rice variety does smell quite strong as do the others, the kibble is small to medium in size, brown and triangular in shape, this I mix with the sensitive. (previously reviewed) Depending on what mood Red is in, he will wolf down one particular flavor leaving all the remaining kibble in his bowl till he feels hungry enough to go and finish it off. Red enjoys both the Chicken and rice and lamb and rice flavors mixed in with the sensitive. He does tire easily of the same flavor so I have to alternate the flavors I give him each day.

In all the time I've been feeding Arden Grange to my dogs neither of them have had any problems with their skin or teeth. Red's teeth are in perfect condition, and so are his skin and coat. I also find that picking up the poop is a lot less messy and smelly, than when Red was eating wet food, many moons ago.

Although I choose to mix the different flavors of Arden Grange for my dog, the food on it's own is a complete dry dog food, so there is no need to mix it, I just prefer to do this for Red because he is so fussy with his food.

I am extremely happy with this dog food, and would never go back to giving any of my dogs wet food. Both my dogs are doing really well on Arden Grange food and I have no intention whatsoever to change it.

        ~Other information~

On the pack of this Arden Grange Adult Chicken And Rice, there is a list of ingredients, typical analysis, feeding quantities and guidelines. You can always visit the Arden Grange website which is very informative and helpful when it comes to making your mind up which variety would be best for your dog or cat as they also do a wide range of food for cats as well.

This product should be stored in a cool dry place and fresh drinking water should be made available for your dogs at all times.

I buy a 2.5 kg bag of this for Red and because I use it to mix with his other food, a bag of this seems to last a very long time.
There are quite a few websites I've found that sell it and I just tend to go with whichever has got a deal on at the time. For a 2.5 kg bag of this Adult Chicken and Rice Arden Grange I pay around £8.00. The bag lasts for ages and both myself and Red are happy with it.

Like I said on my other reviews Happy Dogs = Happy Owners.

All Arden Grange food comes in various sized bags depending on your dogs size, age etc. They also do wet foods, if that's what you prefer to feed your pet. There is something for every dog and cat, available from Arden Grange and I for one highly recommend them.

5 Stars for this Arden Grange Adult Chicken And Rice In my opinion the best dog food around.

Thank you for reading my review which may also be posted on other sites.
