I've been buying Arden Grange food for both my dogs, for a few years now, and from my experience with feeding this to my dogs I've learned that you definitley get what you pay for. Yes, it is a little more expensive than your average dry dog food, but in my opinion it's worth every penny.
I decided to review the "Senior" variety which I feed to my dog who is 11 years old. As I was already feeding Arden Grange to my other dog, when she came along, it made sence to introduce her to the senior variety age 7+.
--The condition of my dog before Arden Grange Senior--
She was originally a rescue dog from the RSPCA. She had needed a lot of rotten teeth taking out and found it quite difficult to eat.
Her coat was dull and matted.
She had several areas of skin irritation.
--Why I'm glad I fed Arden Grange Senior to her--
Her teeth (What teeth she's got left) are now bright, healthy and strong.
Her coat is soft and shiney and lovely to touch.
She has NO skin irritations anywhere on her body.
She has been eating this food for over 2 years and I wouldn't change it now, she's happy and healthy and enjoys her food. I recommend this so highly because I have seen proof with my own eyes, the difference a good decent food can make to not only the health of your dog but also their temperament and behaviour.
--The Packaging and prices--
Bright orange packaging, with the products name and variety written across the front in big black letters.
There is a recommended feeding chart displayed on the back of the pack, along with ingredients e.t.c.
Comes in three different sizes:
2.5kg at £9.08
7.5kg at £23.09
15kg at £39.38
the prices will obviously vary, depending on where you choose to purchase it from. The prices I show here are the prices on their own website.
Unfortunatley it only comes in Fresh Chicken and Rice flavour.
Grade A Chicken meal--Maximises digestibility.
Omega 6 and 3--Maintains good skin and coat.
Balanced minerals--Helps maintain urinary tract health.
Antioxidents and vitimins--Helps maintain a healthy immune system.
Glucosamine--To promote and maintain joint health.
There are no disadvantages really, maybe that it is a bit pricey, but it is worth the money as it's good quality food, so you only need to feed your a dog a small amount at a time, where as, if it was a cheaper variety of dog food you would be feeding twice the amount and buying food more often.
Overall if my dogs are happy, healthy, well behaved and well fed, then I'm happy.
Wouldn't you be?
Thankyou for reading my review.
