Calling all dog owners that tear their hair out trying to get their fussy muts to eat dog food. I have a 7 year old border collie that just disliked dog food, and I spent an absolute fortune trying every brand out there and not to mention the vet bills to see if there was a medical reason for this, and there was not. The fact was she is just fussy, she would pinch cat food and eat cat litter god bless her but turned her nose up at her own food. We discovered that she enjoyed fish more than meat, so when it was suggested to me by a vet that james wellbeloved did a fish flavour dried dog food i decided to give it a try. I used google to find the james wellbeloved web site and they kindly sent me a free sample of the food and she loved it. Ocean white fish and rice was what we started her on and now she will eat all flavours of this brand and has never had any problems on it. It is also a good food for dogs with allergys. although a little on the pricy side it is well worth it. The food itself is a kibble and is nutritionaly balanced and availabe in a wide range of flavours and availiable at most pet stores i find that pets at home very often have offers of 3 for 2 and is priced at £6.99.
When I find I've run out of my favourite Arden grange dog food I get a small bag of this to plug the gap until my normal food arrives.
The only reason I dont feed my dogs this food is the price. At the monent Arden grange is cheaper. If James Welbeloved is on offer in the local pet shop then I go for that. They are very similar feeds and so it does not really make a great deal of difference.
James Welbeloved is easier to get hold of as it is available in most PEts at home, Countywide, and local pet shops.
Out of all the flavours I like this one as it is different to other dog food and does actually smell of fish too, The dogs appreciate the smell too and it sends their noses into over drive when the bag is opened.
These retail at about £34 for a 15kg bag, they are also available in smaller bags and so great for a stop gap and means I dont need to buy a 15kg bag.
The smaller bags are also good for taking on holiday if you only want a small bag.
I do wish this food was cheaper so I could feed it more often but unfortunately it isn't and so it will remain a stop gap feed for the time being!
