... the desired effect from the dogs. Normally I use liver cake, but it takes a strong stomach to make it and time, these are almost as pungent and incur me no mess nor hassle. The price is usually £1 for a 70g bag, so whilst they're not the cheapest, they are fairly good value for money and they are branded too by contrast to what the cheapest treats on the market are. In addition to this the ingredient are fairly good and not filled with as much superfluous contents. They are a treat though so I do limit how many my dog...more

Cheesy Bites These treats from Pedigree are a long-term favourite amongst my dogs and they're a really handy size for training. The treats are described as a 'tasty treat your dog will love'. The treats are cheese and meat flavoured which is the perfect combination as all of my dogs are cheese mad, and i'm sure almost every dog in existence loves meat! Pedigree state that the treats are 'ideal for training or simply to show just how much you care.' The treats have been developed with nutritionists & vets and are suitable for dogs and puppies over 3 kilograms. The list of ingredients is quite brief compared to a lot of cheaper brands of dog treats, ...  Read the complete review

It is very rarely that our dogs both enjoy the same treats but these cheesy bites from Pedigree are a true winner with our two. We have a Pomeranian dog and a poodle puppy and the information on the reverse of the pack tells us clearly how many treats are allowed by the dog according to its weight. Pom is allowed up to 50 of these in a day whilst Pepper, being more lightweight, is allowed 16 of them. Given their own way they would eat a whole bag a day each because they love them so much. hubby paid 79p for 70g and they come in a pack as shown in the Dooyoo picture. Caution - do not rip open like I did as they will all end up all over the floor. ...  Read the complete review

Having two chihuahuas can be very demanding at times. Especially when those two chihuahuas are very fond of treats, and not very fond of their Mummy leaving the house. Luckily for them, their Mummy is as soft as cotton wool and likes to give them treats and rewards for good behaviour, or upon her return to the house (if they haven't shredded a full box of tissues, or gone wee-wee on the livingroom carpet). There are so many different treats out there on the market that it's difficult to find one that really suits your purpose, however these 'Pedigree Cheesy Bites' work an absolute treat (excuse the pun) when it comes to rewarding and training my pups. So what ...  Read the complete review

Cheesy treats for greedy puppies (365 words)

I am currently taking my puppy Sawyer to Puppy School so the 2 of us can be humiliated in front of the other dogs and their owners, and needed to get some treats to bring, as it is reward-based training. A lot of dog treats do seem to say on the back that they are not to be given to puppies younger than 6 months old. I don't like to take any chances with Sawyer and feed him things he shouldn't be getting at 15 weeks, so I was pleased to see that the back of the pack had no such warning. These come in a small plastic bag that is bright yellow like all Pedigree products. The back of the pack also gives advice on how many of these you can feed your dog per day; ...  Read the complete review

When I first got my Greyhound Oscar as a little puppy I fell so deeply in love with him I wanted to treat him to just about every pet food treat going. Back then Oscar wasn't nearly as much as an annoyingly fussy eater as he is now and would scoff anything you put within ten inches of his mouth! Now, at nearly eleven months old, Oscar has gone off most of the treats I gave him in his much smaller days and there's only a small variety of foods and treats he'll bother with. Cheesy bites were the first treat I ever gave him and one of the very few he continues to have a taste for. These treats come from Pedigree so I trust them to be of high quality. They're ...  Read the complete review
