Cheesy Bites
These treats from Pedigree are a long-term favourite amongst my dogs and they're a really handy size for training. The treats are described as a 'tasty treat your dog will love'. The treats are cheese and meat flavoured which is the perfect combination as all of my dogs are cheese mad, and i'm sure almost every dog in existence loves meat! Pedigree state that the treats are 'ideal for training or simply to show just how much you care.' The treats have been developed with nutritionists & vets and are suitable for dogs and puppies over 3 kilograms.

The list of ingredients is quite brief compared to a lot of cheaper brands of dog treats, there's no weird or nasty sounding stuff in there at all. The main ingredients are milk, fish, cheese, minerals, cereal, oils and fats. The treats also contain omega 3 which is a healthy fat. The oils and minerals that the treats contain are good as they keep the dogs coat and skin healthy. Each treat is two calories, which doesn't sound a lot but as they're so small I usually give my dogs 5-6 each a day, which doesn't sound a lot but over a week it's quite a lot of extra calories. All of my dogs are walked daily though and are healthy.

Price and Value for Money
These treats are very affordable as long as you don't buy them too regulary. I buy them from Tesco and they're priced at £1 per 70 gram packet. This isn't great value as you could get a larger amount of Tesco's own brand of dog treats, however my dogs do like them and so I get a packet every couple of weeks.

Packaging
The small, round treats come in packet made of a thick, durable plastic. Inside it is foil lined to keep the treats nice and fresh. The colour scheme of the packet is yellow and red, which I instantly recogise as being the Pedigree colour scheme. The brand and product name are clearly stated on the front and there's a picture of the treats on the front making it clear what the packet contains. There's also a picture of a healthy looking dog which makes it clear that the treats are for dogs. The packet can not be re-sealed once cut open.

My Opinion
I have been buying these treats for years now and my dogs go absolutely bonkers for them! I can see why too - the smell, even to me, is quite pleasant - very cheesy and savoury. The treats are a really handy size to do training and a handful of them can easily fit into my boyfriends pocket when he takes them out for a walk.

Before I had my baby and I was walking my dogs regulary, these were always my choice of treats to take out with us as I knew that the dogs would come back for them due to the strong smell. The dogs all do as they're told for these treats, although as the treats are small and fiddly I always make sure to tell my dogs to be gentle when taking them from my hand as a dog could easily catch your fingers when taking the treat.

The treats are small and round, they have a brown middle which I guess is the meat and a rubbery outer which I am guessing is the cheesey bit. The texture is solid with quite a rubbery feel to it and my dogs barely need to chew at all as they're so small. The treats aren't at all messy as the dogs eat them straight away and I like that they're small as it keeps the dogs wanting more and therefor we fit more training in. The treats aren't very long lasting and a 70 gram bag lasts for 2-3 days in my house, although I do have four adult dogs so if you have one or two dogs they'll obviously last a lot longer.

I would highly reccomend these to any dog owner. I would especially reccomed them if you have just got a puppy and want to train them; these are such effective training aids and my dogs have loved them since they were all pups. The strong scent of the treats literally makes their mouths water! My dogs all know these treats as 'cheese'. If one of them won't come back inside from the garden and I need to lock the door or whatever I just say 'cheese' and they come running back in!

Overall
I highly reccomend these treats; very effective training aids and all of my dogs love them. Great as a little treat but wouldn't purchase too often as at £1 for a small 70 gram bag it isn't great value.

Summary: My dogs love them
