      great fun for the dog

These are my dogs favorite chew, if you can call them a chew as they resemble a bone more than a chew.

Pedigree claim that these chews taste great and are long lasting, i dont know about the taste as i havent tried them personaly but my dog seems to like the taste, they smell a bit but no more than most dog treats do and they do last him longer than any other chew we have brought for him so for around £3 i think these are a great way to keep my dog entertained for a hour.

These chews have a hard exterior and a soft interior that is a meat, the hard exterier becomes a softer but very chewy material after your dog has chewed at it for a bit.

This chew contains vitamin a and e aswell as calcium and only has 2%fat.

These are available in 3 sizes small, medium and large, obviously we brought the large.

The only down side to these is the colour comes off on your floor so i give mine to my dog in the kitchen now so he doesnt make a mess of my carpets.

        Pedigree Super Chew.

        What are they?
I bought 2 of these for my 2 dogs. They're not exceptionally large, maybe about 4 inches. I was shocked when I unwrapped them, I expected them to be hard, but easy enough for my dogs to start breaking down with their teeth, I was wrong. They are rock solid chews ridiculously hard you could bang nails with them.
They have a strange smell aswell. It's hard to explain, it's like a beefy but very plastic smell, not exactly an inviting smell to dogs. They are dark brown in colour and are long, large and flat at the ends, thinner in the middle in shape.

        My Dogs verdict.
So I offered my dogs the bones. My Border Collie sniffed at it. Licked it, tried to take it but I think it was too heavy for her, she dropped it, it went clonk on the floor and she gave me a look as if to say 'So, whats next?' My Lurcher, didn't sniff it, didn't lick it either, she grabbed it and ran with it to her bed, when she discovered that it wasn't bursting with flavour and that she couldn't chew it up with ease. She too abandoned it. Both bones are now in their toy box completely unmarked.

        Over all.
So I must say, it was a very disappointing purchase. For £ 2.89 I hoped that they would enjoy them a bit better than that.

I buy a lot of dog treat products and from my experience Dogs prefer bones that are easier to chew bits off of, bits they can eat, and that certainly isn't this bone. And bones that have a tastier smell, because if they smell tastier then it goes without saying that it must taste better.

I think that maybe this bone would be more suitable to a larger or stronger breed, maybe a Rottweiler, or a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

You can get it in 3 sizes.
        Small- £2.19
        Medium £2.49
        Large £2.89
