I bought a tin of this dog food from Tesco for my dog Harvey to try. He is a big dog, he is half alsation and half labrador so has a big appetite. He is now nearly 8 years old so I try to make sure he has something he likes for his dinner and something I know will keep him healthy and full until the next feed time.

The dog food I bought had a different coloured label to the one at the top of the Dooyoo page, I think they must have made a new design. The new one is a black label with a bright pink band around the lower half with the name of the variety of food on it. It also has a rather cute photo of a nice black and white dog.

The tin comes with a ring pull which is really handy as I don't like using a tin opener on dog food tins. The food inside looks like it has a lot of nice gravy with it, and when you try to tip it out in the bowl you need a fork to help you get it all out as its quite thick. The meat is cut into nice looking chunks that look quite appetising if you are a dog. It also has carrots in it so when its tipped out it could be the inside of a pie or something, you wouldn't know it was dog food.

When I start to dish Harvey's dinner up he is always standing up paws on the worktop trying to see what I am giving him and as soon as the bowl hits the floor he is tucking in and it is usually empty in less than a minute. Quite often we get a big burp afterwards too lol. You can tell he has enjoyed his dinner, he is really satisfied after and lays down to sleep it off like most men do.

I always serve the tinned food along with some mixer to fill him up. On the tin it tells you to give his size dogs two to three cans at a time plus mixer, at the moment we are only giving him the one can and he doesn't come looking for food until the next food time and he looks healthy with a nice shiney coat and wet nose.

The premium tins of dog food in Tesco are currently about 50p a tin but you can buy them in bulk and get a better deal, 12 tins are currently selling for £5.08 so you get two tins just about free by buying them this way.

I would recommend this brand of dog food to anyone who has a dog.

      Complete dog food

This is a complete pet food for dogs and comes in a tin with a ring pull on the lid for easy opening. The label is black with a border collie on the front. Each flavour has its own distinct colour band around the label, this one is cerise. It also tells you that it has vitamin & mineral enriched.

      --------------------
      So what's in it?
      --------------------
The label reads as follows: minimum 4% Game, minimum 4% Chicken, cereals, minimum 4% carrots, minerals, various sugars.

      It has 80% moisture, 7% protein, oils & fats 4.5%, ash 2%, fibre 0.5%.

      Feeding Guide
      ---------------------
If you have a small dog and only feeding this food you will need 2 cans a day, for a medium dog 2 - 4 cans, a large dog 4 - 7 cans.

Each can is 400g and costs £0.43 per can. Can also be bought in multi-packs of different sizes.

      What's It Like?
      --------------------
I use tinned meat along with Nemo's biscuits to encourage him to eat them and give him a different taste. On opening the tin there was a lot of gravy sitting on the top. This was good as it mixes in with the biscuits well.

There were visible bits of carrot in the tin and lots of chunks of meat. I couldn't tell any difference between the types of meat so can only assume that they are perhaps mixed together then cut into nice uniform squares! I hate dog food that smells bad, thankfully this smells OK.

And from Nemo's point of view it must have tasted good, as it didn't spend very long in the bowl. Would probably buy this one again.
