Advantages: 100% natural high quality cuts of meat, handy packaging
Disadvantages: some flavours a bit smelly, some pieces a little small
One thing that really annoys me when i'm out walking my dog is treats falling out the bag and floating in my pocket or handbag. Enter thrive- the dog treats in a handy pocket sized tube with a lid!
I was lucky enough to be given 2 tubes at the London Pet Show recently so I will review them both- both tubes are at a RRP of just under £3 which is a little pricy compared with some other treats but I believe the quality shines through.
Thrive Park Life-
this is the smaller of the tubes I was given with 25g in it. Its ingredients are pure chicken liver (100%) so no hidden nasties. It appears to be freezed dried, although the tube doesn't state how it is prepared. It smells a little fishy which is probably why my dog loves them. The pieces vary in size so mind your fingers. The tube states that you shake the tube and your dog comes back (I believe your voice should do the recall though!)
Thrive Pro-Reward_-
this is a bigger tube (60g) so maybe not so pocket sized. Also states 'low fat' (not something you usually associate with duck) This one was 100% duck and the pieces were slightly bigger so probably better if your dog is less likely to take gentley. They say these are 'high value' rewards. This tube states that the duck is air dried, but looks very different in appearence to the chicken liver treats. This has a more definate duck smell to it too. It is made of 100% duck breast so high quality meat not derivatives.
I would highly recommend both of these products as healthy holistic treats for your dog- natural, no colourings or preservatives and made of good quality meat. Worth the extra pennies (if your dog takes gentle otherwise may cost you some fingers too!)
Summary: High quality holistic dog treat
