Halsall Peppa Pig Push-Along Pram
by MrsWillow
We have had this for about 18 months now and my daughter still loves it! We got it as her first pram when she first started walking as it is smaller with a lower handle than a lot of the realistic prams. It also reminded me of the ladybird prams we used to have when I was a kid!
It is simple to assemble and has withstood daily ... use being dragged around the house by our active toddler for the past 18 months! It is recommended from for 18+ months but is really suitable from as soon as they are steady on their feet (it wouldn't be stable to use as a walker as it would tip easily).
We have had a few occasions where the hood has slipped off whilst she has been playing and sometimes one of the wheel covers pops off but they are very easy to slip back on again.
The unit does clip apart so they can use the top part as an infant carrier but we don't tend to use this as this then encourages her to use the wheel base a bit like a skateboard! However, the clip which detaches it isn't easy so she can't detach it herself.
The handle adjusts to different positions as well, so now my daughter is a litte bigger we have moved the handle around a bit so it is a little higher.
It is more suiatlbe for smaller dolls but she can squeeze her Baby Annabelle in on occasion. Read the complete review |

Halsall Fifi Stroller
by i_am_joy
My 23 month old granddaughter is a real little Mummy, as well as the usual cuddly baby toys and bears she also has a collection of baby dolls (some not much smaller than her!) which have been passed down from her big sisters. Watching her struggling to push her own pushchair around the garden I immediately went inside to see if I could ... find her a dolls stroller as I think there is something completely adorable about watching a baby girl pushing a doll and buggy.
I ended up on Amazon where they sell several different toy strollers and eventually decided on this Fifi and the Flowertots stroller which was a bargain price of £8 and looked ideal for my granddaughter, I was slightly concerned it would be a little too high for her to push comfortably as the recommended age is 3 years but I reasoned that if she could push dolly around in a proper sized pushchair then even if this was a little towering then it would still be an improvement.
I bought it from possibly the best seller on Amazon as the stroller was delivered well within 48 hours of placing the order, I was impressed at how easy and smooth it was to initially open the stroller and my granddaughter was able to use it straight away.
I must say it's an absolutely gorgeous looking dolls pushchair, it's has a pastel blue and green background which features small pictures of plants and various gardening equipment so that the overall design is in keeping with the flowery and natural theme of the television programme. The back of the seat where dolly sits features the logo of the programme, which for the benefit of those of you without pre-school children is a picture of the very sweet looking Fifi Forget-Me-Not along with a prettily printed 'FIFI' which looks to have been designed in denim.
I needn't have worried that this was going to be too tall as the 55cm height of the handles is ideal for my granddaughter, who is a slightly smaller than average 23 month old. I actually think a three year old would be hunched over the stroller as it is very small indeed and there is no way of making the handles any higher to accommodate an older child.
My granddaughter finds the handles comfortable to hold and because they are the sort of handles which look backwards to me she seems better able to grip them than if they were the 'right way' round. She is able to accurately push it along and has even learned how to tip the pushchair back to get it up and down the steps in the garden - just like her mum tipping it up and down the kerbs!
The instructions that come with the stroller say that it is suitable for dolls up to 40cm, I am not in the habit of measuring dolls but the Tiny Tears sized dolly my granddaughter was playing with today fits in the stroller perfectly and we managed to strap her in even though the doll's tummy is rather portly!
Speaking of the straps, if you have an easily frustrated toddler then just cut the blooming things off and say yourself a lot of heart ache! My granddaughter pudgy little fingers just cannot manipulate the buckle style straps and at one point I thought she was going to pick the stroller up and chuck it at me in temper! This is the only bad point really, although to be completely fair to the stroller this is possibly one of the reasons it is marketed as a toy for three year olds as their hands are obviously more dexterous and agile than a 23 month olds.
Overall though I cannot fault this dolly stroller at all. My granddaughter loves it, aided by the fact that she is a developing Fifi fan, but even if your little one doesn't watch the show then they will still love the pretty design and easy to manoeuvre buggy. Read the complete review |

Halsall Silver Cross Oberon Dolls Pram Navy
by clarabella23
All I can say whenever I see a child walking with one of these is...wow, where can I get one?
The Silver Cross Oberon Pram is an absotute icon, instantly recognisable and still turns heads now with it's old- fashioned charm.
Traditionally available in either navy or cream, or a cross of both (as my daughter has!), a limited ... edition is generally available each year- we've seen the pink 'rose' pram, the Beatrix Potter 'Peter Rabbit' version, or my personal favourite, a rather snazzy red number!
These prams are well built, sturdy and feel like an investmaent piece as well as a rather fetching toy for your child! Even now, looking through local auctions, you can see versions that peoples grandmas have played with up for grabs.
The only problem with these gorgeous things are the price and lack of availability. Personally, I purchased mine from my local Siver Cross shop at a grand price of £250- minus the matress, pram tray for underneath, simply the pram frame and fabric covers. I have also seen it advertised for similar prices in catalogues, but I preferred to view mine and check it out before purchasing.
All in all, I would say these prams are perfect if you are looking to buy a special little girl a VERY special present... Read the complete review |
