Sylvanian Families Caravan and Family Car

I recently purchased the sylvanian caravan and car for my 5 year old daughter, we have got a caravan ourselves so she loved the thought of having one for her sylvanion people.
My daughter has played with this endlessly since getting it. I got the caravan from Argos it came as a package including the car and it cost around ... £50.
The caravan and car are all really well made as you would expect from this brand, if looked after well they will last for years, I think these can be played with for years as my daughters cousin who is 9 also loves the sets and plays with them when she comes to visit.
The detail on the caravan is amazing the roof and the side of the caravan open so that your child can access all the caravan to play. In addition to the caravan itself the package comes with lots of really cute accessories, cups, pots and pans.
It is very lifelike, the bed folds out and there are 2 very cute beds for the kids which are bunkbeds and even sleeping bags. There is a little bathroom and toilet in the caravan and even a little ironing board!
I would recommend getting some small tubs to keep all the little bits in as if you have a child that isn't very careful its easy to see how they would get lost.
The car clips onto the front of the caravan and then pulls it along, very cute! Again the car has lots of detail and even little car seats for the baby sylvanian people.
I think that the caravan will definitely help to develop imagination in children and also social skills as they can play either alone or with other children.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with children aged 5 and over.

Sylvanian Families Canal Boat

This canal boat is a brilliant toy for children to play with. My granddaughter is really interested in Sylvanian Families at the moment and she spends a lot of time playing with this boat.
The boat is now cheap, it costs about £60 so is a lot of money but there is such a high level of detail in it that you can get a lot of ... entertainment out of it.
The barge is long and narrow and the roof lifts off so you can see inside properly. The roof itself has lots of detail on it including a little washing line which you can set up and put away. This is quite fiddly to do but my granddaughter can manage to do it much better than I can! Inside the barge are lots of things to do. There are little beds which open up to show storage space, a little bathroom area which my granddaughter loves as the shower pulls off and for some reason she is highly amused by this! The little seating area in the lounge/kitchen is cute and it has a little cooker and sink there too. The cooker has a door that opens and my granddaughter is delighted by this!
There are little outside areas at each side of the barge too where they can soak up the sunshine!
The boat has lots of stickers for you to put on. When you buy it it's quite plain but you can liven it up with the stickers. The problem with this is that they are small and so you need an adult to really put them on but of course children wnat to do it themselves but may put them down wrong and then the boat will not look quite right forever... I think the barge should come with these details already added on.
My granddaughter loves playing with this, she never keeps the roof on and prefers to play with the inside of it.
I think the quality of it is very good and it does entertain and gives her a lot of fun.
The only problem really is that it is very narrow and so it's difficult to actually get a good amount of space to be able to get hands right inside to play properly which is a shame.
It is expensive and I think it should be improved slightly to warrant such a high price tag

Sylvanian Families Chocolate Rabbit Family

My granddaughter has recently started to fall in love with Sylvanian Families. luckily I still had some in the loft from when my daughter used to play with them but I have recently bought her this little set of rabbits for her to enjoy too.
In the pack you get 4 rabbits a Mummy, Daddy, a little girl and a little boy and they ... are really cute! They are still just the same as the ones my own daughter used to play with I can't believe how little these have changed.
The rabbits are fuzzy and my granddaughter loves running her finger along their fur. They are wearing clothes which all match each other- red and yellow based. The girls wear dresses and teh boys are wearing little trousers and shirts. Their clothes can come off and mygranddaughter loves to keep undressing them and tring to get them back on. I struggle to get the clothes back on but her little fingers can do it no problem!
They are very cute. Their arms and legs move so they can change position.
My granddaughter loves playing with these. Sometimes she will play with them on their own and make up games for them and other times she will use them in the house with the furniture that we have. They cost me £15 which I think is very expensive but this seems to be the price people pay for these now so I am glad I kept the other ones we have from when my daughter played with them!
They are lovely and very sweet I can see why they appeal to little girls.
