I am a keen collector of Betty Boop figurines and in October of this year the manufacturers and owners of the Betty Boop trademark, namely The Hearst Holdings Inc, introduced five new collectables; three of which I purchased and this review discusses Betty Boop Angel. The resin figurine measures 30 cm in height and weighs approximately one kilogram. As soon as I saw this cute collectable I immediately thought of those adorable angels on the Lynx adverts. Betty wears a pure white sleeveless dress which snugly fits her stunning figure and it perfectly hugs her tiny waist and flows to the floor so we are unable to witness her feet. The most eye-catching feature of this figurine has to be Betty's wings, which are firmly fixed to the upper section of her back and they are so charming and have been perfectly created to give the illusion of soft feathers. The figurine can be described is absolutely spectacular as the manufacturer has carved tiny grooves in the resin with touches of pale blue paint with the most spectacular section of the wings being the rear. I'm a little unsure how Betty has managed to achieve the status of being an angel, particularly as the majority of my figurines show her displaying rather too much flesh as well as her customary sexy garters! Perhaps that is the reason why her halo has been omitted, which is a real shame as I feel a golden coloured halo would have provided the perfect finishing touch. Betty's slender fingers are interlocked which gives the appearance that she's about to pray. Perhaps she will ask forgiveness for all of the sexy outfits that she's worn in the past! She wears a golden coloured cord around her waist which has been created from resin where tiny grooves give the illusion of fibres. To complete her angelic appearance Betty wears a pair of golden coloured hoop earrings. Betty's huge green eyes are looking in the opposite direction to all of my other figurines, which I find a little unusual, particularly as she's normally only looking one way. Nevertheless, Betty is still adorable and I love the way in which each of my figurines display her with ruby red puckered lips. People often ask me which figurines are my favourite and this is most definitely one of them. Betty is firmly fixed to a glossy black circular stand with four small circular rubber pads to enable her to be securely displayed and the familiar authenticity logo of the manufacturer can be found on its' underside. Whilst I've not yet needed to clean the figurine, the grooves in the wings will be huge dust catchers, but I will remove any fluff with the aid of a small clean paintbrush. As the majority of my figurines are safely stored behind glass, fortunately, cleaning is carried out only twice a year. This gorgeous figurine can be found on Amazon and is priced at £58 inclusive of postage and packing. This is such an adorable collectable and perfect for Christmas and therefore, she comes with my full recommendation. I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
